Match Discussion: Stuttgarter Kickers v Notts County
Looking forward to seeing the approach Martin takes for this game. The past two have hopefully informed him of the system we need to play and tactical changes needed during the game. I think that having the nous to make changes, be it formation or individual are a real necessity moving forward this coming season. Also the introduction of players who he knows can alter and make a pronounced difference is paramount to success. All in all tonight's game is the litmus paper highlighting where we are at in preparation for the starting blocks.

Hearts v Dunfermline
What a coincidence, a good friend of mine is a fanatical Hearts fan and he messaged me after the match. 4-1 to Hearts with Shankland scoring twice from the penalty spot, but room for improvement he tells me. He's over the moon because Shankland has signed a 3 year contract, as apparently he is supposed to be a prolific scorer. We do the messaging thing on a weekly basis during the season, following each others team and giving scoring updates and match reviews. He is always telling me that the stadium is full, I reckon they sit one miss one seat to make it look like they have a capacity crowd π π Attendances at the lane have been fantastic over the last few seasons and I hope that we keep it up this season. Getting into the double figure thousands is testament to the hard work of all the staff, players and great facilities here at Meadow Lane. COYP.

Weekly Chat - Monday 14th to Sunday 20th July
Good morning one and all, Today's weather here in the central belt of Nottinghamshire is lovely and sunny, with a light breeze and scattered clouds. The itinerary for the day will be to enhance the good job completed yesterday in clearing, cleaning and re arranging our lovely Shed. This shed of all sheds was like a tardis overflowing with items enough to refit the house over and over, never mind anywhere else. To benefit will be certain charities and a run to the local tip for my sins. Other than that the chores of the day will take place bit by bit until the appearance of my Princess as she returns from work. Another day in Paradise π

Should Notts consider having a new Club Captain?
First of all the Club Captain has to be the conduit between management and players. Have both understanding and appreciation of what is required in that position. Be firm and assertive on and off the pitch, being respected, approachable and having a likeable personality. I think Matty Palmer after that unfortunate injury has suffered with finding his mojo again, he's not vocal enough before, during or after a match and concentrating on his match craft to me would benefit him tenfold. I think Jacob Bedeau is the ideal candidate, he has all the qualities needed to make an excellent Captain. He seems to me to be a natural leader so why not give him the chance.

Poetic Pies
Today's Gift. TIME. It came to fruition around 1500 BC, To indicate daytime as we will see. Measuring the length of daylight hours, An Egyptian invention needing no power. A method not changed for many a while, Of course you guessed, it's the sundial. Then a long wait for a 14th century chime, The first mechanical clock, invented this time. Move along now to century fifteen, When the watch itself was first to be seen. Improvements made from year to year, Seconds, minutes and hours, all very clear. This is a concept, a simple illusion, Made up of human memories without confusion. Time is the progression of events we see, From past, present and future to you and me. It cannot be touched, seen or tasted, So make the most, ensure its not wasted. If there's no time, there's no progression, Nothing could have started, in any fashion. A precious resource from way back, Use it well and you're on the right track.

Match Discussion: FC Kaiserslautern v Notts.
We obviously are punching well above our weight, their reactions are quicker than ours, and as soon as we get the ball they are all back defending and all want to play football, looking and moving for each other.we have alot to learn, unfortunately with only 10 men. Happy days.

Meadow View. An eruption of earth, the first today, He's coordinating his GPS to show the way. Mr Mole it is checking out his territory, Snout a twitching with absolute severity. Now he has risen to find his mark, All good here, back down to the dark. Sparrowhawk uses corridors of air, Allowing silent approach, nothing aware. Hanging in the air like a child's kite, Looking for prey with keen eyesight. Lock on to the target, Ready to go, Wings back, legs tucked just like an arrow. Faster and faster, and not a sound, Talons released as it reaches the ground. Swift and accurate, the prey to take, Food for little one's, not yet awake. Horses munch on sweet new grass, No idea of time, allowing it to pass. Some on all fours, some laying down, Taking in fodder without a frown. Singing birds, a cacophony of sound, Coming from everywhere, all around. Nature's orchestra tuning up for the day, Giving a wonderful feeling, one must say. What a privilege to hear, smell and see, Wonders that are there for you and me.

MANCHESTER UNITED YOUNGSTER BOLSTERS DEFENCE
Just bolstering our defence i hope, we have a settled back 3 who play well and know each other inside out. The only other reason I see for loaning him is to be part of a back four like we reverted to yesterday evening in Germany. We can only wait and see. π€

Today's Feast. Forever True. Sequential signs of effervescence, A perfect indication of your presence. Invisible tentacles spreading the world over, Caressing hearts, Keeping all sober. Influencing moods of mindful people, Joyous feelings, high as a steeple. Roaming this globe, not always found, Like the mists of time hugging the ground. Enveloping the lands in which we live, Families and friends, they freely give. Something that's positive and precious too, Providing a platform in all we do. Readily given by all who partake, At times work is needed, make no mistake. There is one thing that you can guarantee, Delivery of hope and kindness for us to see. This will eventually lead to the promise land, Somewhere we can go, hand in hand. It doesn't just cascade down from above, That wonderful treasure we all call LOVE.

Match discussion: PSF - Darmstadt 98
Page one of three turned on our German adventure. Looked like a good workout for us and I'm sure Martin will take alot from this performance, especially the interchange of personel and differences made. Time to move on and look forward to the next outing. COYP.

What a shining example to us all you are Kimbo. All the suffering and pain you have gone through and brightly shone as a leading light to everyone.
