  1. I believe Stuart Maynard will be our next gaffer, not due to bookies’ odds but his success with Wealdstone. His career aligns with what the brothers seek, someone stable and unsacked.
  2. A tad late to the party but wanted to spread some festive cheer nonetheless. Christmas may be over, but the goodwill needn't be. Cheers.
  3. Doncaster Rovers has shown some improvement since then. I can’t envision them being as disorganised, but on paper, you would think the game should favour us. The problem is, games aren’t played on paper, and not everything is as straightforward as it appears. I just hope we can secure the result we need to keep our position in the top half.
  4. Did anyone catch if any players were interviewed on Radio Nottingham last night? I couldn’t listen in, but I’m hoping they spoke to someone other than Luke Williams.
  5. Hello, @StanfordPie. Welcome to the site! See you around PON.
  6. Hello, @Robbie__64. Welcome!
  7. Hello, welcome @Morten Johansen. I'm fairly new here myself.
  8. The anticipation for the match against the in-form Stockport County is certainly high. Langstaff’s optimism, while inspiring, is tinged with a hint of nervous excitement, which is to be expected given the stature of the opposition. His belief in the potential of this game to be a turning point for the team’s form is intriguing. A victory here could indeed serve as a massive morale booster and could ignite a much-needed run of victories. As fans, we’re on tenterhooks, hoping for the best! Let’s rally behind our team. Come on, Notts County!
  9. Indeed, it's about raising the standard of play rather than merely focusing on results. Wholeheartedly agree with Williams' take on this.
  10. Macari is a young, determined player who's truly loving his game. His transfer to a permanent place in the team is no surprise. He’s found a home at Notts, and the club has been accommodating. His mention of the gaffer's distinct style and bouncing back from his initial struggles speaks volumes about his resilience and ability to learn. As they say, where there’s a will, there's a way!
  11. Paul Warne appears to be the toughest of the bunch, resembling a ‘Phil Mitchell’ character that wouldn’t be out of place in the TV show Shameless. He seems quite puzzled in the image. They all look very alike! Being bald doesn’t distinguish them.
  12. Luke Williams might be slightly concerned that he’s not getting the desired response from the players. However, to put things into perspective, we’re still performing quite well for a club that’s newly promoted back into the EFL. We just need to mix things up, improve, and work harder to ensure we get the results. We won’t win every match, but there’s no reason why we can’t improve our form and still be in contention for promotion at the end of the season.
  13. Two things seem unlikely: an easy victory and a clean sheet. Hopefully, Notts will deliver one of their better performances, but I’m concerned about what might happen if Harrogate tightens their defence and makes it even more challenging, as they did in the playoff final against us. It could be a repeat of the Sutton United match on the opening day.
  14. He was a strong player for us when he was at his best, and he could have achieved much more. However, he always seemed like someone who aspired to play at a higher level. I thought he would excel in the Championship, but it appears that the Irish league suits him better.
  15. What if we barred the individuals who broke the rules from football and imposed hefty fines on them as a more effective deterrent? The fines could be reinvested into grassroots football in Wales. As for a 141-point deduction, have the decision-makers lost their minds? A referee gets punched in Turkey and their league is suspended, yet a small club violates numerous rules and it’s their supporters who bear the brunt.
  16. Putting a complete stop to the league because of this seems a bit excessive. Imposing fines and deducting points should suffice, unless there are doubts about the fairness and legitimacy of the officiating. However, it appears to me that the president of MKE Ankaragucu is just a sore loser.
  17. The Council earns a decent sum from each stall, which partly explains the high prices. Personally, I wouldn’t have shelled out for it, but I can see why others might. For that price, I hope it was the best cake you’ve ever tasted and not just run-of-the-mill.
  18. It’s energizing to see such passion in players like Dan Crowley. Interesting how his connection with the crowd seems to be a major factor contributing to his success, underscoring the vital role of fans in boosting player morale. We're right in the heart of the season, let's keep cheering them on!
  19. Rawlinson's skillful play and teamwork in changing the course of the attack really stood out in the match. His ability to quickly get the ball from left to right and right to left shows his versatility as a defender. It's impressive to see him progress and adapt to the team's flow. With more performances like this, we are sure to have a successful season.
  20. Luke Williams' emphasis on specific player performances and the impact of goals on the game provides interesting insights. The goals played a pivotal role in changing the course of the game, and Williams acknowledges the importance of being clinical in front of the goal. It's also fascinating to learn about the dedication and importance of players like Jim O'Brien, who are described as a massive part of the team. Williams' approach of supporting and protecting his players, while also acknowledging areas for improvement, creates a positive environment for growth. The extra days off for the players seem well-deserved, and it's encouraging to see Williams focusing on the small details for future success. Overall, Notts County's victory and Williams' perspectives leave me optimistic about the team's upcoming matches.
