  1. There isn't a Wrexham logo or red dragon; evidently, Ryan Reynolds favours the super Notts.
  2. Enhance the defence, place Tiernan Brooks in goal, and provide him with an opportunity. It's tough for young players to get chances when certain fans express negativity on social media and are impatient for progress. I would love to witness Brooks becoming the new Darren Ward.
  3. We need to secure the victory to demonstrate that the decision at their venue doesn't have broader implications. It was disappointing, but a win would help us move on. I trust in Notts' quality; I just hope the officials meet the required standards. If they perform poorly, we might find it challenging to make our own luck.
  4. If it came at the expense of the league, then yes, but it shouldn't be imposed on clubs as the payment would be unfair. I'm all for goal-line technology, but the price could be a hindrance to its implementation.
  5. Welcome to PON! It's great to say hello to you, @TruroPieSi.
  6. I thoroughly enjoy delving into Notts’ past. It’s crucial to safeguard and respect the heritage left behind, ensuring it’s not lost to the upcoming wave of fans.
  7. It’s truly heartbreaking to hear this news. My sympathies are with the family. May Granny Pie find eternal peace.
  8. The club's dedication to player recovery by staying overnight is a masterstroke from the management. It's these little things that contribute to a bigger picture of success. Maynard and the coaching staff’s attention to detail is transforming our play style and mentality. Let’s keep this momentum rolling!
  9. It’s so like Notts to get commendation for an attack-focused player, yet struggle with defence. Jodi Jones truly merits this praise. I’m certain of it, and I believe we’re fortunate to have him.
  10. The match underscores our need to improve game management. We attempt to regain possession everywhere except our own half, which is crucial. Our players let the opposition advance. Goals hurt the team, and it’s almost expected that if we score first, we’ll likely concede soon after. This suggests a mental issue. If we can break this pattern, Notts might score a second goal, changing the game’s dynamic. If we concede, we’re inviting more goals, and then it’s game over. It’s quite vexing.
  11. At the moment, yes, but it’s uncertain whether Stuart Maynard can enhance our performance in away games. We need to improve this if we want to secure a spot in the playoffs and aim higher. It won’t be possible without better form in away matches. I hope Maynard adjusts the strategy for away games to something more balanced. The current formation works well at home, just not when we’re playing away.
  12. Setting a limit on the number of tickets one person can buy could be beneficial. None of this ‘I’ve bought my mate’s season ticket and want to add that to every season ticket card they bring’. Increase the queue for tickets and give priority to sales in person. Make allowances for recognised fans with disabilities.
  13. He might need to consult an expert to find out if anything can be done. It’s a tough injury and he obviously enjoys playing. It’s hard to recover from such an injury without recurring problems. I wish him all the best.
  14. Stuart Maynard stepping in is a statement of intent from Notts County. Not many coaches would leave a secure job to jump into the unpredictable world of football, which speaks volumes of Stuart's dedication. I'm genuinely stoked to see how he shapes the team's future.
  15. Yes, I agree with most fans that it should have been a red card. I also agree that the trip shortly afterwards should have earned a yellow card. Barrow were clearly trying to hold on and it was a desperate tackle that would have caused uproar even at Sunday league level.
  16. Watching Maynard at the presser made me hopeful. He's tactically astute and clearly values the mental game too. Acknowledging the quality of Barrow's players without fear or hesitation, that’s the kind of straightforward honesty we need in a coach. A good start can set the tone for the whole season.
  17. Reading about Chicksen's Achilles recovery and now back to grass work is fantastic news. These injuries can be quite persistent and having him back is vital for our squad depth. Also, Lewis Macari’s return after a freak illness - shows the unpredictable nature of sport and the resilience of our team.
  18. I'm hoping Stuart Maynard can bring some fresh ideas to the table and shake things up a bit. We've been stuck in a rut for a while now, and a new perspective could be just what we need.
  19. Nottingham was thoroughly beaten by the Cornish Pirates. It was a missed chance for them.
  20. I'm absolutely chuffed to bits with the news about James, a real homegrown talent committing his future to the club. Seeing him play is a reminder of why we support this beautiful game. The kid's got energy, skill, and that intangible spark that you just can't coach. In the game against Doncaster, he was everywhere, chasing balls, creating opportunities, and showing that he's not just at Meadow Lane to make up the numbers. And signing until 2026? That's the kind of long-term thinking and commitment from both the player and the club that can build a solid foundation for success. We might have a genuine star on our hands here!
  21. I’ll start the chant of ‘It’s just like watching Juve’ as soon as we take control of the match. Let’s outshout Stockport County’s fans and cheer on the lads to show Stuart Maynard how good we can be when we’re in sync.
  22. It's promising to hear our captain taking charge and emphasising routine in these windy times. Facing Stockport will be the litmus test of our resolve, but Cameron's comments showcase a squad that's set to tackle the challenge. Maynard's swift inclusion seems smooth as per the team's response, and it's this kind of internal stability that fans want to see reflected in the game.
  23. Welcome @True Magpie, it's a good community and a very fun site.
  24. Our defence was weak, but a new manager could fix this. It was positive to stay in the match and nearly score. Grimsby has similar problems, but we’re better placed to improve. I’m content with the draw, hoping we’ll have a new manager for our next match.
  25. I hope Sven enjoys his remaining time, it’s sad he’s ill but he can now make the most of his days. He’s had a good life.
