  2. Lots of clubs have been very busy in the transfer market already. Looks like Notts are taking their time. I think that Notts have given the players a few weeks off so we won't know much about longer contracts and possible transfers, until they all come back. I want to see Jodi commit himself to a longer contract at Notts too.
  3. Stumps on the first day Notts finish on 212 for 9 after being 50 for 6 just before lunch. It has been a really good fightback by Notts thanks to an unbeaten 92 by Lyndon James. On a testing day for batting, where the ball has moved about from the pitch and through the air, Notts can be very pleased with their days work after such a poor start. This score by Notts could prove to be a reasonable score on this wicket, and the Notts bowlers will be looking forward to a bowl when their turn comes sometime tomorrow.
  4. Tea. A much better performance by Nottinghamshire between lunch and tea. Notts 134 for 7 with a fighting unbeaten 52 by James keeping the innings together. The ball is still moving around & there is some variable bounce too.
  5. Lunch. Notts are 67 for 6. It has been a very tricky session for the Nottinghamshire batters after Hampshire put them into bat this morning. The the ball has been moving around off the pitch and also in the air. It has been a very good toss to win Conditions should get better for batting in the afternoon as the ball gets older & the pitch drys out. Notts need to try to dig in and make some sort of recovery in the afternoon session if they can.
  6. Football is a game. Football is not a science, A Football match has always been controlled by a Referee & assistant Referees using their own senses to make judgements. Those judgements may not be 100% perfect but that is how the game has always been. Even with VAR, the VAR officials rely on their own judgement. That's why VAR should be discontinued. Football is just not the same with VAR.

  8. Hampshire won the toss and will bowl first. Notts field an unchanged side.
