  1. This match is a very important match for all those players who are wanting to have a chance of securing a place in the squad for next season. These players have just four games to impress. The Notts side must play with passion, intensity and commitment, they must fight for every ball when out of possession and when they do have possession pass it quickly through the lines. Walsall play lots of long balls and they are one of the teams that like going direct. The also like to get many crosses into the box from open play and dead ball situations, so Notts will need to be weary of this. The key area will be our defence once again, cut out the mistakes, if in doubt kick it out or up field to Jatta. Another key area will be our goalkeeper's distribution and the need to stop putting our defenders under pressure by poor passing. I believe that Maynard now knows what is strongest side is and he should continue to play his best available team which includes Jatta and Ashby-Hammond. Hopefully Robertson will be fit to play again, so my team would be the same that faced Harrogate with Robertson replacing Bostock. I'm hopeful for a good performance on Saturday, I would be happy with a draw, but hopeful of another win.
  2. Tom gets the rough end of the stick again. Nothing changes.
  3. Your Weather for Thursday.
  4. I like the name, it certainly goes with Magpie. I suppose they could call it The Magpie's Nest, The Magpies Nest or just plain The Nest as they have it which I like. The could even call it The Roost or the The Magpies Roost. I suppose they are trying to promote a place of belonging for Magpie fans. It is going to be open all year round, so will it be exclusively for Notts fans, ie, members club all the time or will they want to attract all comers in the off season? I think they plan to host special events etc?
