  10. I think Matt Palmer is getting close to the player he was when he was getting the plaudits from PON members re this article in May 2023
  11. It's true that Matt Palmer has only scored four goals for Notts in 137 games, but Matt's worth is elsewhere on the field of play. He's certainly getting back to the player we saw under Luke Williams, being Notts's Mr reliability in the centre of Midfield. He's an important player for Notts because he's very good at driving the team forward & orchestrating attacks. He's the Club Captain too. I think that Conor Grant may miss a few goal scoring opportunities, but a player has to get into good positions to get those opportunities. I think Conor is a good squad player with useful attributes. He's only 24 so he can still improve. I think at this particular time Hall is in front of him in the current SM pecking order & maybe Luker too. Iorpenda is also playing as an AM. So Conor has some stiff competition.
  12. There were some great performances today. The defence was solid, the central midfield duo were outstanding, Oldham were Undefeated in away league matches before today & had only conceded one goal so I think it is credit to Notts's attacking prowess that Notts scored 3 ,goals against a side that had only conceded 6 goals in the league, home & away. That is why my Man of the Match is between Jatta & Hall today. Hall scored a classy goal as well as other nice touches & an assist for Jatta's goal which was Notts third. Jatta did lots of good work up front & scored a goal & claimed another. However, I'm going for Hall as M of the M, for his performance & who I think could become a good number 10 for Notts as he continues to improve.
  13. Another dominating win for Notts this afternoon. Momentum is starting to build as the squad continues to improve The three goals that Notts scored could easily have been double that with the opportunities that Notts created for themselves in that first half. I think that Martin is very close to knowing what his starting eleven is, but there will be lots of competition for places if the squad keeps improving. Notts are just one point off the playoffs & if they can go on a run of form for the next eleven games or so they could be in a great position to push on during the second half of the season, here's hoping.
  14. League 2 Table. Positions 1 to 17.Notts just one point off the playoffs in 9th place.
  15. A comfortable win for Notts this afternoon against Oldham. Notts possibly should have scored more goals too. Hall scored again & also had an assist when he supplied Jatta for the Notts 3rd goal. Notts first goal early in the first half was courtesy of an Oldham pen goal. So who is your PON Man of the Match against Oldham. I have chosen the starting eleven plus one substitute. Please chose you Man from the following players, Roos, Macari, McDonald, Bedeau, Tsaroulla, Palmer, Robertson, Jones, Iorpenda, Hall, Jatta, Bennetts.
  16. Update FULL TIME.Another good win at ML for Notts.
