Notts have certainly moved quickly to secure a replacement for Palmer and what a signing! Dan Gosling is straight out of the top drawer and will be a fantastic addition to the squad, the only shame is that it’s a short term signing, I wonder if they have eyes on a more permanent arrival in January?

I’m not sure what the rules are about fielding first team players but if I was Luke Williams I’d put out a team of fringe/youth players, this is a game we could really do without, I know Williams says he wants to win every match but I would gladly see us lose this one.

It’s ironic that for the Newport match we had a make shift back line and kept a clean sheet, however I do think Williams should revert to his strongest team possible for the Wrexham game because they will be a different kettle of fish to Newport. It will be a tough game because as we know Wrexham are a very good team but if Notts play as well as we know they can for 90+ minutes there’s no reason why we can’t take all three points but if we can’t win then it’s important we don’t lose.
