@Michael D Pie. we did indeed use the lift it was only 1€ each for a return trip, it was far too hot to walk up the road to the battlements. The view from the top was spectacular. At sea tomorrow, then Mallorca which is going to be even hotter. 🥵

Morning all we’ve just sailed into Malta, it’s going to be another scorching hot day so we’re going exploring early before it gets too hot. I’ll look out for Jodie. 🤣

@Michael D Pie. the shuttle bus from the ship dropped us off right next to the sea organ, there’s nothing physical to see but if you stand near the steps that go down to the sea the sound comes from the pipes, a boat obligingly came close and created waves so we heard it quite loud, it was lovely to hear. It’s been really hot again but we managed a good walk around the town keeping to the shade as much as we can. This is a picture I took as we sailed away from Zadar towards Split.

@Chris I have ear problems from time to time, when I went to the hospital the consultant told me to avoid getting water or shampoo in my ears, consequently when I swim or shower I use ear plugs or cotton wool with Vaseline to stop water entering the ear. I hope your problems ease in time.

A belated welcome from me too @Matt i hope you enjoy being part of our friendly community.

Good morning it’s a day at sea for us after leaving Corfu we are on our way to Zadar in Croatia. I’ve bought an internet package for 24 hours so I can keep in touch with my son as there are some problems at home. It’s £20 for 24 hours to get online, I was going to but a package for the whole cruise but it would have been £300 so decided not to as we get data in the ports on our normal mobile package. I hope everyone is well.

A hot 30 degrees in Corfu, we’re one of two ships in port ours is on the left.

Cagliari was very hot, we’ve had a nice day we walked into town and had a lovely icecream no wonder the Italians are famous for it. Pizza for lunch seemed fitting, now we are waiting for the ship to leave port once everyone is aboard. A sea day tomorrow then two days in Corfu. Here a few pics of Cagliari.

A few pics from Cartagena.

Morning all on Tuesday we had a walking tour of Cartagena with tapas and drinks at three restaurants plus lots of history from our lovely Spanish guide. Yesterday was a day at sea with much lazing round the pool. This morning we’ve just arrived in Cagliari on the island of Sardinia, we are going to have a walk into the town and along the promenade, we’ll see if we can find a nice restaurant for lunch then it’s back onboard for 4.30 pm.

Good morning we have just docked in Cartegena and we’re off on a walking tour of the city with tapas and wine thrown in.

Good morning we are still at sea today, the weather has calmed down, the sea is smooth and the sun is getting hot. Last night was Captains celebration night where we dress up for dinner I worse a tuxedo and dickie bow, we had a lovely meal and everyone had free champers courtesy of the captain. After dinner we had a walk on deck, here is Mrs T enjoying the warm night air. How is everyone have we made any more signings? What are you all up to this week?

Thanks everyone, we’re on our second day at sea, it’s been rough through the channel and Bay of Biscay with 6 metre waves but nothing the ship couldn’t cope with. It’s calmed down now and the sun is out we’ve just left the BoB and now off the coast of Portugal. Just sending this with a one hour free internet. Lots of good food and entertainment to keep us busy. First stop Cartegena on Tuesday.

Morning all, we are on our way to Southampton on a very posh coach, we sail at 4.30 then we have three days at sea before we reach our first port Cartegena in Spain. I’ll try and keep up n touch when I can.
