  1. I’ve never been a member of any of the supporter groups apart from the trust when they took over the club. I’m also a lifeline member but apart from that I’ve never been interested in joining anything else, as with all these things it probably sometimes attracts the wrong type of person and ends up with internal bickering. I just want to pay my money, go to a match, watch the game and support the team, not get involved in internal politics. No offence to anyone who does like to get involved it’s just not for me.
  2. Believe me @Robbie I’m a master at making mistakes, I was probably thinking of Abbot Ale I haven’t had a drink for 3 weeks and it’s affecting my brain.
  3. Yes I surprised myself. Even Mrs T struggled with that one and she’s normally very good at it.

  5. Morning all, I hope all those who travelled to the match returned safely, or are you stopping over sampling the delights of Blackpool? Its another lovely day here the sun is out and the sky is cloudless, I think I might have my first foray of the year into the garden and do a bit of tidying up, I’m not a keen gardener by any stretch of the imagination but I try to keep it tidy if my back will let me. Have a lovely day whatever you are doing.
  6. Stunning pictures, thanks @Piethagoram Scotland is indeed a beautiful place I just wish good weather could be guaranteed, my favourite memory of Scotland is a fantastic holiday I had when I was around 18 with my parents we stayed in a bed and breakfast on the shores of the Firth of Clyde, I spent a lot of time fishing for mackerel from a rowing boat. We also had a cruise on the paddle steamer Waverley around the Kyles of Bute, the weather was idyllic, I’d love to recreate that holiday one day.
  7. @Piethagoram that is a great achievement and you deserve some sort of award. As far as the match was concerned listening on the radio is difficult to get a true reflection of how it went but it sounded like it was two points dropped rather than a point gained, Maynard was very frustrated in his post match interview. According to Stallard Notts played much better than last Saturday which is a plus but I wonder if those two lost points will be crucial at the end of the season. If we can get three points on Tuesday it won’t seem so bad, I’m sure there’ll be lots of twists and turns in the remaining games.
  8. Thanks Robbie I can now vote for Abbot, although I didn’t go to the game listening to the radio it sounded like Abbot had a good game scoring a goal and getting an assist.
  9. I’d like to vote for Abbot but he’s not on the list @Robbie there are two Jacob Bedau instead.

  12. Good morning it’s the first day of March and it’s another lovely sunny start to the day but it’s cold first thing with a bit of frost. It’s matchday too of course and the same as @Robbie I’m desperately hoping for a good performance and a win. Safe travels to those who are going to support the lads. COME ON YOU PIES!

  17. Good morning a lovely bright start to the day. It was a success thanks @super_ram the volunteer co-ordinate from HO seemed happy he even left early as he had to get to Manchester that night and our meeting doesn’t finish till 9pm. We’ve now left our group in the capable hands of the new volunteers so we can relax now for at least a month then when we get back we’ll see. It is very wearing mentally. Tonight our daughter in law and grandkids are coming for curry night as our son is away and DIL is running herself ragged taking kids to clubs etc., so we thought it’d be nice to cook for her. Mrs. T is doing her famous Biryani, well it’s famous in our family. Have a great day everyone.
  18. I try to avoid pies as much as I can they are very fattening and I need to lose weight not gain it. However on the odd occasion I’ve tried a pukka pie I have to admit they are nice.
  19. What a long way our club have come when we are being shown as an example of how a club should be run.
  20. Hello and welcome @Lullapie it’s great to see you’ve joined, I love the username. Please join in the discussions when you are ready we are a friendly community.
  21. Good afternoon, it’s a lovely day but very cold when we went out this morning especially in the shade. Mrs. T has got a line full of washing out so she’s happy. We’ve just had a visit from that nice man from Tesco whose brought us lots of goodies to fill our cupboards, fridge and freezer, so we’ll be good for another week. Tonight is our support group meeting, we are training up two new volunteers who seem keen and are going to run the next meeting when we’re away. Our volunteers co-ordinator from Head Office is also coming to check up on us so it’ll be a busy night, I hope it all goes smoothly. We are hoping the new volunteers will be ok if as we want to take a break from running the meetings it can get quite depressing at times and we need to look after ourselves.
