The transfer window has closed and now we can concentrate on the football. I don’t think all the speculation and rumours are very helpful. Paterson knows what is squad is and who he’s got to work with and from the way he talked in an interview he’s more than happy with it. He hinted that because of the strength in depth he’ll be making what he called some surprising selections to future team sheets. It sounds like he feels he’ll be able to rotate more than he has in the past. I’m looking forward to talking more about football and less about rumours. What do others think?

I use Facebook to keep in touch with family other than that I try not to read things that appear randomly in my feed. I looked at a few political discussions and then found the algorithms were constantly pushing one sided political posts at me. This is what’s happening all the time to everyone reading Twitter and Facebook, it just makes people angry and divided. I fear for the future these social media sites need controlling.

Robert’s did well as did Cooper but my vote goes to Ness who I thought was immense at the back

We’ll take a point away, in the end I thought it was a fair result and we remain unbeaten. Our goal was a great cross from Roberts who literally only just come on, he found Cooper who confidently stuck it in the net. A good goal. We now move on to Huddersfield. YOUPIES!

Half time and we’re losing 1-0 a terrible clearance by Lipsuic saw the ball balloon into the air only to be pounced on by a Donny player who scored. Best moment for Notts was a shot from Smyth which hit the underside of the bar and bounced down and as cleared. Plenty of time for Notts to turn this around. COME ON YOU PIES!

Jodie will always be remembered with fondness by Notts fans, he’s been a great player for us and has helped us to move up the divisions. However he’s left the club and is no longer a Notts County player so we move on.

I’m very excited by this signing, I’m really pleased and impressed the club have got this over the line especially with other clubs interested, it does show that Notts have a good reputation of looking after young loan players. As others have said Kanu brings another dimension to our attacking arsenal, I can’t wait to see him in action.
