  1. Disappointing result, Notts didn’t play to their full potential by any stretch of the imagination, in fact it could have been worse we could have lost that one. It’s a shame because we got off to a flying start with the early goal and I was expecting them to build on it and push on to get more goals, unfortunately it didn’t happen. We are definitely missing our key players Jones, McGoldrick and Bedau. On to Tranmere and hopefully bounce back.
  2. A difficult day for you all @super_ram stay strong me old mate Heres a big manly hug from me.
  3. Got ya, I’m a bit thick today.
  4. @RobbieThat’s good news that’s good news that everyone survived, I hope the critically ill recover. It amazes me though why someone who’s just survived a plane crash wants to film their escape from a plane that could possibly catch fire at any minute. The first thing they think of is how many likes they can get on Facebook or tick-tock or whatever. Toronto: Passenger films his escape from upside down crashed plane WWW.BBC.CO.UK Video shows people clamber over belongings and seats from inside the plane that crashed on the Canadian runway.

  7. Morning all a cold zero degrees here but the sun is up so hopefully it will get warmer later. We are meeting up with fellow volunteers this morning for a coffee, we are mentoring them so they can host our next support meeting when we are away. Later as it’s matchday I’ll be watching Notts and hoping for a positive result against Colchester.
  8. The local TV Channel Notts TV is closing down after its licence will not be renewed. I love watching the local football programme called Match Talk which featured Charlie McParland and had guest speakers talking about our three clubs, our very own @Chris was a guest once too.
  9. Today it is two years since we very sadly lost @GrannyPie who this section of the forum is named after. For those that don’t know Granny Pie was the wife of @super_ram and the mother of @Chris our thoughts are with them and the rest of the family today. Granny Pie was a lovely lady who I had the pleasure of meeting once, she was a stalwart of the forum and a voice of reason and she would also be quick to jokingly threaten anyone who fell out of line with her walking stick. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and was always willing to give friendly advice to younger members. Bless you @GrannyPie may you rest in peace.
  10. It would be a bit embarrassing for him though, would his pride let him? Plus as @Piethagoram has pointed out he’s not a director at Notts now.
  11. Montague hasn’t started in his new job yet so he didn’t sack Luke.
  12. @Robbie there do seem to be a lot of airplane crashes just lately, I’m glad I’m going on a cruise next month, I’ll try and avoid watching Titanic before I go. Seriously I’m never really confident flying, I’m a lot better than I used to be but still worry a little and go through different scenarios about crashing.
  13. It’s a bit of a mess really, in an interview Luke was really excited at the prospect of his friend Montague joining him at Swansea, now Luke’s gone, I would imagine that a big reason Montague leaving Notts was joining Luke so where does that leave him now?
  14. It’s no surprise really, unfortunately the run of matches they were on it was an inevitable outcome.
  15. Connections Puzzle #617 Got there in the end, nearly blew it.

  17. Good morning a cold start to the day at 1.3 degrees, on the plus side the nights seem to be getting a tad shorter so spring is hopefully around the corner. The forum seems very quiet a present just a few regular stalwarts posting, I’d like to see more folk joining in, where is everyone? If there’s no football to talk about why not join in the weekly chat about anything. I’ve featured this topic in the hope of more folk seeing it. Come on everyone how’s life treating you?
  18. Colchester are no mugs they are on a good run, I’m hoping our key players are back and firing on all cylinders, being at home in front of our fans I’m hoping we can get a much needed win.
  19. I’m sure he is @Robbie you are a great asset to the forum. I was referring to my role as a moderator, I have discussed with Chris and the team that I will no longer read the political posts so they will remain unmoderated by me, Chris is happy with that so as I say with the greatest of respect who does what regarding moderation shouldn’t concern you. As I have explained there is no issue with the reporting post feature and moderators aren’t on here 24/7.
  20. Chris is quite happy with what I do, it’s not your concern, unless you’ve suddenly been promoted to admin. I just wanted to explain that the report system is working.
