I do feel sorry for the fans but as @Chris says how else can you do it? A fine is pointless they’d probably think it was worth it to get the info on the opposition. If I was a Southampton fan my anger wouldn’t be directed at the EFL I’d be furious with the club, the person who sanctioned the spying should be sacked and banned from football. The fans should be reimbursed by the club for any money they have spent.

Good morning, it’s a cloudy start here but dry and warm. I’m off to Specsavers later to have my ears unblocked, I have a pending referral to ENT but haven’t had an appointment and I can’t wait any longer the blocked ears and tinnitus is driving me crazy. They told me not to go to Specsavers but the trouble is you have to wait so long for an appointment so I’ve decided to pay £55 in the hope they get it all out.

The club have also received a four-point deduction in the Championship in 2026-27 season. Middlesbrough, beaten by Southampton in the semi-final, have been reinstated and will now play Hull City for a play in the Premier League. The final will remain on Saturday at Wembley with the kick-off time to be confirmed. Southampton had admitted to "multiple breaches of EFL regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other clubs' training", the EFL said. The club have also received a reprimand in respect of all the charges.

If this is as good as the stage play it’ll be worth watching, it’s about Gareth Southgate’s reign as England manager and the run up to the World Cup. Good timing for the upcoming World Cup.

It was a real shame the fans went on the pitch, I don’t really see the point, we haven’t been promoted yet, why can’t they just stay in the stands and enjoy the moment there, then maybe the players would have shown their appreciation of our support and the Chesterfield players could have thanked their fans. It was sad to see our fans gloating and goading the Chesterfield fans. I have a friend who goes to watches rugby matches he says the opposing fans sit together, bring alcoholic drinks into the stands and there’s no hint of trouble. Football is far too tribal.

If that’s true I’m surprised he’s still with us. 😂

I feel for you @Dripsey3 both regarding the play off final and your work situation, I’ve been there it’s not a pleasant environment to be in when you know it’s only a matter of time before you are shown the door. I hope if/when the inevitable does happen you get a decent payout and you are able to find alternative employment or early retirement.
