I agree Alves was Leicesters best player, he looks a great player at this level,I can’t help thinking we played Leicester t a good time, they have yet to settle in this league, I think they will be promotion contenders at the end of the season.

Good morning, it’s a new week and a new weekly chat. A quiet day for me after a busy weekend, we’ve got British Gas coming to service our boiler, they offered a special reduction so I thought I’d get it done as it hasn’t been done for a few years then we’ll be ready for winter. Well done on the walk, I’m sorry I couldn’t join you as you know Suicide awareness is something I care about but I’d never have got Chloe organised for an early start we struggled to get there as it was and that was in the car, she’s not a morning person.

Good morning, I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve got a sore throat from shouting and singing at the match yesterday. What an atmosphere, I enjoyed my new vantage point from the kop a nice forward facing view rather than twisting my head sideways in the Pavis. The only thing is a stanchion obscures part of the pitch but it’s very narrow so no problem really. The regulars around us seem a nice bunch, they all seem to know each other hopefully us newbies will fit in after a few matches. Today we are taking Chloe back to her camping holiday and our son has booked a restaurant for Sunday lunch so I’m looking forward to that. Have a great day whatever you are doing.

It certainly was a great start for Notts and the players deserve the praise heaped on them, we showed that on our day we can live with the best. However as we know “one swallow doesn’t make a summer” so I don’t want to get carried away too early, it’s a long season, the challenge for the squad now is to keep that level of performance for every game, there will be less glamorous games to play. So far so good though, I’m not being negative, the match was fantastic with a great atmosphere, long may it continue.

Come on folks get voting for your MoM, there were some outstanding candidates who do you think deserves the accolade.

I must admit I’ve got to get used to who some of the players are. There were some very good performances particularly in midfield. Tsaroulla was excellent, Evan’s solid, Cooper reminded me off Ricky Ravenhill he never let a player settle on the ball, Lipsuic was everywhere as well. in defence Ness was great shame he missed the sitter, Bedau was Mr. reliable as usual. Lots of other good performances who I can’t remember. For me its between Lipsuic and Cooper but I’m given my vote to Cooper I thought he was awesome.

Wow, what a game that was I was particularly impressed with our midfield they didn’t give the opposition a minutes peace.

1-0 at half time , Notts more than holding their own. Leicester coming more into it as the game progressed I think we surprised them early on with the willingness to harry them with Cooper getting stuck with a good tackle at every opportunity.

I’d be delighted if we won or even drew, I’m expecting us to lose, hopefully not by a huge margin, I think goals will be a problem for us but we’ll probably be tight at the back so I reckon a 1-0 loss but an encouraging performance.

Morning all, that was a sticky night. 🥵 I saw the eye consultant yesterday who did a thorough examination and washed out my tear ducts with a huge needle after assuring me it was blunt. Phew! The fluid ended up in the back of my throat. I’ve got two lots of eye drops and an appointment in two months to assess if surgery is needed which he thinks will be necessary. It’s only minor surgery though to tighten the skin around my eyes.
