Weekly Chat Monday 8th to Sunday 14th September
Good morning, what a beautiful start to the day it is too. We had a rude awakening, we forgot the burglar alarm man was coming early to do a service so we woke in a panic and got dressed just as he pulled up in his van, we normally like to laze in bed with a coffee for a while. Later I’ve got a dentist appointment for a filling and to have my new partial denture fitted. Have a great day everyone, whether it’s work, school, college or just chilling.

Notts County Defeat Fleetwood Town as Matthew Dennis Scores Sixth of the Season
Dennis is on fire at the moment and long may it continue, once he gets used to playing with Jatta up front I think the two of them could be a lethal force in this division. The defence kept a clean sheet as well in spite of Roos having a few butter finger moments. Palmer bosses the midfield and is back to his best. This wasn’t a classic performance by any stretch of the imagination but it was hard working and at times ugly match winning performance, at the end of the day I’d rather see Notts win than lots of pretty passing and lose or draw.

Weekly Chat Monday 1st to Sunday 7th September
A massive thank you to @Ash for my signature, it looks great. In other news don’t forget your mobile may sound an alarm today at 3pm assuming you have emergency alerts switched on, it’s just a test so don’t panic a real alert could be to warn of a flood, fire, extreme weather or even a nuclear attack, let’s hope that never happens.

Match Discussion: League Two - Fleetwood Town (A)
It wasn’t the prettiest of matches I thought the first half was pretty dull and boring, the ref didn’t help by blowing his whistle at every given opportunity , I don’t know what MP said to them during the interval but they certainly came out firing on all cylinders and scored in 21 seconds. It was good to see Jatta and Dennis combining for the goal, Jatta’s pass was slightly behind Dennis who had to adjust his feet before taking a touch then shooting, it was a good goal. Notts defence were excellent with McDonald in fine form, Roos was lucky a couple of times, he seems to have butter fingers when he tries to catch the ball but he did make some good saves as well. All in all a good solid, hard earned win, not the greatest performance but three points and a clean sheet is what matters.

Yeovil Town v York City
I agree @Robbie Maynard was left pretty isolated after his coaching staff left, if he’d been given more support it could have made all the difference, he got a raw deal.
-
Who's your Man of the Match v Fleetwood?
Because we got a clean sheet I think the accolade has to go to a defender and the player I thought who stood out was McDonald, he has improved immeasurably since he came into the team in place of the injured Platt and I think he’ll take a bit of unseating when Platt is fit.

Fitness
I agree it’s great to see players returning from injuries, let’s hope we can keep a fit squad MP needs all his preferred first team players to be fit and on top form plus the fringe players need to be ready to step up when needed.

Dorking sign fan to play in goal
So there’s still hope that at 73 I could emulate the great Tony Hateley and play up front for Notts, I can still run and jump, put me up front when Jatta tires at 80 minutes and I’ll do the business, come on Notts you know it makes sense.
