  1. i think its good when people can use humour to lighten the mood, its quite funny some of the things martin paterson said whilst micd up. i do really like how he comes across and i just hope he can prove to be the factor we need to compete at the top end. i think if he can get 10 to 15% more from players it would be a good start.
  2. i think it was last season when fans were concerned by the clubs losses and what debt they believe the reedtz would want. so, selling players in league two for roughly £3m does seem to be better for moving the club forward. i wonder how much the nest helps, as i think that will be a big money maker. provided we invest and keep moving forward i am happy. i think we are, and even if its slower than some might not like, i do think its important to do it the right way. hopefully we leave some money open for january as it was mentioned in another discussion as being a time when better players are being snapped up for fees. still i would like a keeper, attacking midfielder and a striker. two of them would be more important than the other, but if the am could play up top or the striker out wide then i would think it gives us plenty of options.
  3. rest in peace, connie francis. 😞

  7. @Fan of Big Tone, do you rent your caravan out? i have just got home from a very routine day at work, going to treat myself to fish and chips. its quite nice out, tho it looks like it will rain. the temperature is just right for a nice work and a treat. i will be back after i get something to eating. i am starving for some reason! i will pass on tones chocolate. 😝
  8. i forgot about the game which is a shame because i would have paid for the stream to see how the game went, but i dont think a draw is a bad outcome. we are getting the minutes into the players legs, fitness levels should be increasing and we come back for the "private" game and cardiff home friendly having had a good run out in Germany. i dont expect notts to win cardiff, but it would be good to see us put lessons learned from this game and the two other german games into practice. the results of pre season games mean little, so i am sure the players are settling into life under martin paterson and for the new signings to get up to speed with the notts way.
  9. i have another 30 minutes to my dinner break, i went to go eat in the cafeteria today. its not that big and does tend to be crowded, so i dont usually go but i wanted to stay on site. its quite nice, cool but looks like it might rain. not that i would complain about that, i have enough about the warm weather so its nice to have a day where its not that bad. i did think about having a walk to the embankment but i want to wait for when notts has the new home shirt as i want to pop in the club shop. 5:30pm finish today, so i look forward to finishing for the day. works been strangely quiet. no chance of it mate, i wanted some independence when i moved out of my mums but i dont mind living alone. i do miss the company. its the first step to true adulthood living in your own space away from your parents.
  10. before he signed the deal, time cops come bursting in to remove him from the table. we just need to time loop the reedtz to show in his place. 😛
  11. it was a masterstroke to talk sunderland into letting us sign alex bass and the undisclosed fee sounded reasonable, i think repeating this would be hard when teams are aware we are now selling players for a profit and that can lead to people wanting more money. its still very much worth exploring, i dont know if there is any good free agents in this area of the pitch but i hope we can identify a signing that has the experience we need.
  12. hello, welcome to pon @Tommy B. good to have you here, i hope to see you joining in what our discussions and content. 😊

  16. osman foyo who plays for afc wimbledon has been charged for what seems a similar offence. https://www.afcwimbledon.co.uk/news/2025/july/10/statement--fa-charge/ BBC SportOsman Foyo: AFC Wimbledon forward charged by FA with bett...AFC Wimbledon forward Osman Foyo is charged by the Football Association for breaching betting rules on 252 occasions.
  17. i wished the women team would look for volunteers to help keep things updated, it would help them grow amongst the supporters.
  18. usually i dont think the club would make signings whilst they were in germany, i think those deals tend to be concluded before and after. it looks like we are considering some of the trialists, as i dont think we would take and play them just to make up the numbers. its difficult to say which or if any deserve being offered a deal. i still hope that notts sees that alex bass is worth replacing for a transfer fee, we ideally could do with a keeper that can grow alongside us and already has experience.
  19. i dont know what is likely to happen with regards to this but at least it predates joining us. i think its quite a serious thing tho, if he has gambling issues he needs the support to get it stopped. i hope its just a fine and the worst case scenario a short ban from playing.
  20. i think its one of the best signings salford have made, jorge grant must have been doing well for Hearts to keep him for so long. its a shame that we did not look to bring him back because he would do well in our squad i think.
  21. david Braig fpr stuttgarter kickers is a very good player, even at 33 i am sure he will be a threat against us. i think we should be able to compete more against them so it should be interesting and a better game for people to see how things are improving. main thing right now is the fitness and getting players more match sharp.
  22. you would rarely find me without a tshirt on but i cant stand changing tshirts multiple times a day. besides nobody lives with me, so they wont be shocked. it really is unbearable with how warm it can get. i hate moaning about the weather but if you threw me against the wall i would be stuck to it like one of slimy children toys.
  23. before the trews bought notts, i would make sure i had proof to show the reedtz just how much good they did and just how them buying notts at this point after munto collapsed could see them push on further with their data and restructuring. i honestly feel we would be a championship team if this was the case.
  24. i dont like psg, they lost their soul when they got took over and became a franchise type of team. i really hope chelsea can win because it looks better for the premier league and it shows you dont have to be like psg.
  25. hearts recently sold jorge grant to salford city. did you ever get to see grant play for them @theAnticlough? the last time i saw a picture of their ground, it looked a lot different. now it looks very nice and much longer. i do wonder if meadow lane is steeper and that makes it look different?
