  1. he was awful and very average, only thing was his pace and control. if he could cross, he would have been a better winger than a striker.
  2. pc and phone, but i want to get a hifi system that plays cds, connects to my phone, has the radio. i do listen to youtube music but I also gave 40,000 songs fro cds that i own on my pc that uses winamp to play.
  3. welcome to pon, @Lydia. thanks for joining us.
  4. league two and one, along with the national league is what i plan to focus on. so, yes I will.
  5. hes just like a luxury car, you can do with it but appreciate the glamour it brings. i thought after leaving us he would improve with a new opportunity but hes the same. good luck to him though.
  6. I'm going to my aunts house in Derby for the weekend, one of my cousins are getting married on saturday and we are staying with family until mid sunday. im looking forward to seeing family that i have not seen for years. in addition to family from the isle of man, Scotland, america and australia.
  7. there are things which sound inappropriate on his behalf, such as the lad he had a fling whilst married. he came out as being gay, because he thought that the relationship would be leaked and he wanted to beat the news of it. That lad was young, when phillip became involved and landed him temp work, in the future once he was 18, he worked on the set of this morning and other shows phillip assisted him with. That relationship was totally inappropriate, I'm not suggesting the lad was groomed but it's very iffy. he said he was against his brothers actions and would not defend him, yet he did in court. hes being no more hounded than michael barrymore. there is something suspicious about him.
  8. to say you have been away on your families holiday, @Chris. i think you have done brilliantly with the content. as with how long @Simon Clark would have spent on writing his feature, i realise that for you to proof, publish and post takes time. i love the quality right now, i think the standard is very high.
  9. shaun brisley went from being a strong defender, who looked confident and dealt with threats in a no nonsense way. to being very clumsy and poor, i think the midfield were responsible for letting brisley down just as much as richard duffy who was a massive pile of. good luck to brisley to at alfreton.
  10. the bbc article does not give much, its more a cut and dry take on the situation, footballers are easy targets. male/female victims of sexual assault deserve their cases being taken seriously. i have this feeling just by reading the article that there is more to the story. i obviously dont know what the judge knows or has seen in terms of evidence but it seems one persons account and the cctv. this just does not sound right to me. either it was paddy or the person paddy believes it to be, they have cctv and that is the only real piece of evidence it seems. i dont get the dna comment, but if an avenue has not been explored properly i do wonder if there is going to be a huge mistake.
  11. simon clarke i can appreciate the amount of effort and time that has gone into researching this piece, it must have been a lot. thank you for writing it, i enjoy reading your features and posts! i think there is a pitfall when money, club size, quality of players and owners that plays part in a teams relegation back to the nation league. that does not mean it dont happen to teams that are good and have everything going for it, sometimes football can be weird but i think most of the times its down to one of the earlier points i mentioned. a lot of the notts players seem to enjoy their football, arriving to the ground with smiles and the squads chemistry is at a high. this is why i think notts could be one of the few teams that can get back to back promotions, i wont be disappointed if we dont but i do believe we can be one of 3 or 4 teams to be in for the title this upcoming season.
  12. this is what i muddled up with the pentrich rebellion @CliftonMagpie.
  13. thanks, i muddled the event up with the reform act. thanks for telling me @super_ram and @CliftonMagpie.
  14. it just gets better and better for macaulay langstaff, i am pleased that he has scooped more awards. his efforts this past season really does deserve it.
  15. i will be going to this, i did not make it last season and i think we always tend to repeat friendlies. im not bothered about that myself. its about fitness and trying new things, these games helped us last season, no reason why they wont again.
  16. hes good enough for league two and has experience we need, i doubt we could get better. a younger keeper takes time to bring through and we have slocombe to help brooks do just that.
  17. hes a great keeper that just needs the support we afford others at times. im certain he will play a big role in taking us further! so pleased sam slocombe signed on again.
  18. good piece by the left lion, i need to finish it off fully as i dont have much longer left on my break but i read at least 55% of it.
  19. is this the incident where people tried to retake nottingham castle and tried to burn it down?
  20. @Dripsey3 did you manage to talk shane into giving you role, maybe in the background? the show sounds very interesting, it has the lad from being human in.
  21. welcome to the pride of nottingham, @two for joy. would you tell us a bit about yourself?
  22. i have nothing but respect for connell rawlinson, he has played his part in getting us back up and i love that he wants to go again and aim for promotion. how is throws himself into dangerous situations without a thought, carries on even when he's picked up head injuries shows his dedication. its time we as fans cut him some slack and stop criticizing him for being slow etc.
  23. its a shame we allowed him to leave because at the back half of last season, when adam chicksen lost form and we thought it was due to him being tired, we really could have done with joel taylor and this season we will be in various cups, so there is the chance to mix who starts. i think chester have a quality player, so happy he found someone and i hope he gets the game time he deserves.
  24. i am glad connell rawlinson has signed a new deal, i felt a bit surprised by the length. i thought it would be a year but i think rawlinson is worth it. it gives the player and club the length to focus more on the performances and he can do incredibly well. hes about the only defender we have who puts his body in the way without flinching or being afraid to do go fully in. kyle cameron and aden baldwin both show fear which is understandable.
  25. i think its jim who will be announced next, along with kyle cameron. at least i hope so. i can understand why aaron nemane is attracting interest, as i do with ruben rodrigues. kyle cameron is a bit more puzzling because although he does well. he can be clumsy and does create a lot of issues. when hes focused, hes superb but usually he always creates more headaches by his advanced position.
