George Abbott Excited for New Chapter at Notts County: "It's a Good Opportunity" Says Tottenham Hotspur's Young Midfielder
I'm happy he has quickly become involved. He seems very enthusiastic and eager to begin. As I mentioned in another article about George Abbott, his leadership skills will be appreciated. It shouldn't be just about his talent or attributes, but also the commitment and enthusiasm he brings to Notts County.

Tottenham Hotspurβs U21 Captain George Abbott Joins Notts County on Loan
He sounds like the kind of player you want your club to sign on loan. He is prepared to start a new adventure and has the qualities that a very big club looks for. His leadership would be a benefit for Notts on the pitch. The more encouragement, the easier the team should handle the games and pressure. So, it's not just about ability alone. This signing shows great promise!

Stuart Maynard discusses transfers, squad depth, and Notts County's upcoming clash with Swindon Town in League Two
If we want to compete at the top level, it's important to keep the squad we have now. Losing Macaulay Langstaff to Millwall and Aaron Nemane to MK Dons has taken two quality players away from us, but Notts are building a strong team and are showing signs of being a good League Two side. Regarding new signings, Iβm sure there will be some movement, but we need to focus on preventing any more players from leaving. We should also look to take advantage of Swindon Townβs current form.

Match Discussion: Game 4 - The Robins (A)
Playing Swindon Town while they are struggling should be an advantage, but at the same time, their fortunes could change, and we could be the unlucky ones. I agree with the calls to leave the team unchanged, allowing those players to settle and play further minutes, especially after a nine-day break. This could help them transfer any training groundwork into the game. So, I think Notts should be well-prepared for the match. It will be interesting to see how Swindon react themselves. I hope the game is open, rather than a difficult stalemate.

RIP Sven
Sven will always be remembered fondly by Notts County fans. His arrival made waves and brought more attention to the club that had been there for some time. His passing is very sad, but it shows you can make every minute count and ensure your own narrative is acknowledged instead of that of the media. Rest in Peace, Sven-Goran Eriksson.

More money than sense?
I don't think they will be able to compete with interested parties, once a bid is made. I can see him going for more than Β£3 million. I would put his price around Β£5-7.5 million.

It could be wurst
@DangerousSausage, Β£4.50 for a good German sausage wouldn't be a bad price to pay. The hot dogs at games tend to be terrible. They have little taste and wouldn't be worth the price. Notts would do well to consider shaking things up inside the ground. The van located in the Kop that sells chips gets plenty of business despite complaints about the price and quality. Just around the back of the car park, there's a portable bar. So, the club sees that there is money to be made, just not in the food department inside the ground.

MAGnets link - Swindon Town
My suggestion is Mark Yates. He played for Notts in 2017, but a decade earlier, he was at Swindon Town in 2004 on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. I thought he was a decent player for us, in a very limited squad. However, I was surprised to see him end up at Eastleigh and later AFC Fylde.

Weekly Chat 26th August- 1st September
It's when they're barely famous but are considered important enough to talk to them. It's not every day you encounter someone like David Tennant. I dare you to talk to most of the Z-listers from Essex and not feel like you're going crazy. The worst part is having to write stories based on what they're doing, where they've been, and what they've said. It's pointless, but people pay to read them.

It could be wurst
The hot dogs at Notts have a rubbery taste! I don't like them. A nice German sausage would be much better. I wonder if @DangerousSausage would agree? Provided he's not tripping over them, what's the worst that could happen?

Did You Know? (Football Related)
Yes, I am aware of these facts. Notts has been credited for many inventions in football. We were one of the original pioneers back in the day. It's a shame how far we have fallen as a club. I don't like the term "sleeping giant," but we are much bigger than League Two in history. We just need to earn our presence back.

Something for Fan of Big Tone
It must have been a special moment when he scored and broke the record. Tony Hateley seems to be a highly respected former player who fans of his generation's football truly admire. It's an opportunity for those who were unable to witness his greatness to see and understand what Hateley meant to them.

Bochum's cup shirt
I'm not in favour of this kind of thing. I don't see the point. Some clubs do put patterns on their regular season shirts and have them for bigger games, but there's no reason to try and make more money from your supporters for a shirt that will be difficult to buy in the first place.

Weekly Chat 26th August- 1st September
I had a meeting with the editor at my workplace, which lasted about an hour, time I will never get back. It could have been spent more productively, but the positive is that I can now write for the sports websites owned by the main media company. I have been writing about celebrities and conducting interviews with them to date, which is very mundane and boring.

Transfer Rumours : Cedwyn Scott
It is likely a child posting the messages to confuse and annoy fans. I am surprised that they are paying for the blue tick. It seems such a waste to spread false information. However, perhaps the intention is to make money from it, in which case the platform needs to address the issue.

Sharing the Love for Notts
Spending the past few seasons meeting up with @liampie and @CliftonMagpie has been enjoyable, especially as Liam has expressed a desire to attend more away games. I started going with my family when I was younger, but my parents do not often go now. When they do, they usually sit in the Pavis or enjoy hospitality. I much prefer the Kop and being surrounded by the lively part of the stand.
-
Lou Macari at Notts last Thursday
I'm curious about how often he attends games. I believe Louis Macari is a very promising player who has performed well so far. It is still early days, but he appears composed enough to secure the third centre-back position as his own.

Something for Fan of Big Tone
It must have been thrilling to witness this achievement. I believed that Macaulay Langstaff would be the one to score over 100 goals, perhaps even breaking Les Braddβs all-time record. @Fan of Big Tone Pride of Nottingham - Notts County Community WWW.FACEBOOK.COM On this day, in 1971, Tony Hateley surpassed Jackie Sewell as Notts Countyβs leading scorer with his 105th goal in a 2-1 defeat to Bolton Wanderers. Opposition View: Swindon Town Fan Lee Witts' Honest Analysis Ahead of Notts County Match
Swindon Town have three very good loan players on their books, all three of them should become vital parts in their progress for this season. They are a team that can have slow starts, but it doesn't change the fact that every game is different, and they will try to be a very organised team at home. I think the game will be quite even in the first half, as players tire and subs are made, that is when I think the game will become more lively.

August Player of the Month: Pride of Nottingham
I have voted and I voted for Dan Crowley. Before I talk about why I chose Crowley, I would like to say that Jodi Jones and Alassana Jatta also deserve to be in the running. Both have been a big part of our team in August. Jatta has scored in the league and in the League Cup. Jodi has been incredible when we needed a push. He helped us get the draw we deserved against Fleetwood. I chose Crowley because I think he has been in better form.

August Player of the Month: Pride of Nottingham
It's time to vote for the Pride of Nottingham's Player of the Season. We have narrowed down the choices. This is not my choice, but it is in line with the Facebook group, which will also count votes. Twitter will count votes soon. Feel free to explain your decision. Tell us why you chose that player.

Sven-GΓΆran Eriksson: A Legacy Remembered at Notts County
Honestly, I think his time as the England manager is overlooked because of the 'Golden Generation'. But he was not a bad manager. His time at Leicester City and Manchester City were two exciting periods of his career. It shocked the footballing world when he came to Meadow Lane. People said he was only there for the money, but he insisted he saw us as an ambitious project. He proved them wrong by leaving and not asking for his wages. He deserves a lot of respect for that. He was a very kind person.
-
Notts Alumni: Tom Keetley
His football career was truly remarkable, he was a natural goal scorer. Since our record-breaking season and promotion from the National League, Iβve read quite a bit about him. His talent and contributions to football should be honoured and remembered. This is an excellent read that highlights his life. Tom Keetley is a true Notts legend, deserving of recognition. Itβs a shame it took Macaulay Langstaff to bring him back into the spotlight, but at least his grave is no longer unmarked. His headstone will now ensure he is remembered.

Dan & Jodi: Can Notts Keep Them?
I would be more concerned if we weren't showing signs of improvements, and whilst Grimsby is just one game. If this type of form continues, then it would be an advantage to Notts. I don't see either leaving before this transfer window closes, I don't see Notts accepting a bid as enough. It could lead to lower offers in January. If any developments occur, Notts could once again reject or request a higher fee. Football, however, can be unpredictable, and I will be happier when the window closes. Just keep in mind that offers can be agreed outside the transfer window, so it wouldn't be complete comfort once it does close. It just means the next window sees the deal become official. If our form can continue, both Dan Crowley and Jodi Jones see that the club is moving forward. They might agree to extend their stay, I think Jones might be tempted to do this for a year. Crowley is a bit more difficult to speculate about.
