Yesterday ended like I started my original journey, alone with my son in the cold. I found myself at times thinking about what Notts meant to me as a person, I looked around watching our fans react to each stage very differently. It was a roller-coaster shared by family and friends, in a sea of mixed shirts. Shaun Derry's branded Notts a “community”, which is something I've always found to be pretty much true. The only differences for me is the advUpdated by cheeky~k8

Notts County claimed three points the hard way on Saturday after requiring a 94th-minute winner to see off Colchester United at Meadow Lane. Shola Ameobi's second-half penalty had given the Magpies the lead but substitute Sanmi Odelusi looked to have salvaged a point for the U's with his 89th-minute strike. However, there was time for more drama as Ryan Yates glanced home a header to seal victory for Notts in a last-ditch 2-1 win which sent Meadow Lane barmy. The result keeps KeviAdded by Joe Jones

A dramatic late winner from Ryan Yates kept Notts County level on points with Luton Town at the top of League Two thanks to a 2-1 win over Colchester United at Meadow Lane. The hosts had gone in front in the 68th minute when Shola Ameobi clinically converted a penalty kick after Mikael Mandron was adjudged to have pulled back Yates inside the area. Mandron had the chance to make amends for his earlier mistake when Ryan Jackson was fouled by Jorge Grant, but saw his penalty superbly savAdded by Joe Jones

Notts County are on the brink of a perfect September, navigating through their six games so far with a 100% record, scoring 12 goals and conceding just one en route to the top of the table. But now comes the sternest test of all - arguably our fiercest local derby, against Mansfield Town, away from home. Here is Chris's scouting report for the Nottinghamshire derby. Ryan Yates scored a dramatic last-gasp winner as Notts County kept pace with League Two leaders Luton Town with a 2-1 win over Colchester United. Shola Ameobi's penalty had put Kevin Nolan's charges in front in the second half after Michael Mandron was adjudged to have held back Yates in the U's box. Colchester wasted an opportunity to draw level with a spot kick of their own when Ryan Jackson was fouled by Jorge Grant but Mandron’s shot was saved by Magpies goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons.Updated by Joe Jones

Notts County fell to an unfortunate and controversial 3-1 defeat at Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night. The visitors took the lead through Richard Duffy, but strikes from James Coppinger and John Marquis either side of the break put Donny in the lead. Notts thought they had equalised when Haydn Hollis headed home in the second half, but the flag went up to rule the goal out, much to the bemusement of the travelling contingent. Andy Williams then sealed the win by adding a third forAdded by Joe Jones

Notts County threw away the chance of making the top three in League Two with one game to spare after falling to a 2-1 defeat at Grimsby Town on Saturday afternoon. The Magpies laboured at Blundell Park and fell behind through Nathan Clarke's first-half strike. Kevin Nolan's side then looked to have secured a point as Dan Jones stabbed home with only a minute left on the clock. Notts County wrapped up a miserable seven days with a third defeat on the trot, this time spurning a one-goal half-time lead against Swindon Town to eventually lose 2-1 at Meadow Lane. Last week, Bury thoroughly hammered the Magpies. On Tuesday, an undeserved red card for Jamie Turley led to MK Dons making the most of things and emerging victorious. But this time, Notts played impressively and had all the stats on their side, yet went on to lose anyway. Harry Kewell's side had a sUpdated by PON_News

Notts County saw their six-game winning streak come to an abrupt halt with a 3-1 defeat at local rivals Mansfield Town. The in-form Danny Rose grabbed a second-half brace before a Richard Duffy own goal killed off the game for the Magpies. Carl Dickinson, meanwhile, grabbed a consolation for County two minutes into added time with a superb 25-yard free-kick. Here is Chris's analysis of the game at the One Call Stadium. Notts County's FA Cup journey ended on a sour note as Swansea City ran out 8-1 winners in their FA Cup fourth-round replay at the Liberty Stadium. Tammy Abraham and Nathan Dyer grabbed braces, while Kyle Naughton, Wayne Routledge, Tom Carroll and Daniel James all scored one apiece as Noor Husin's impressive 35th-minute strike proved a scant consolation. How did the Kevin Nolan, the Notts players and the fans react to the result? Pride of Nottingham has compiled the post-match reaction.Updated by Joe Jones

Notts County’s 10-game unbeaten run came to end in a 3-1 defeat at Mansfield Town on Saturday. Danny Rose made the most of a miscued headed backpass from Magpies captain Richard Duffy to guide the ball into an empty net, before adding a second from close range. Duffy’s own goal, with Rose once again playing a part in the build-up, then put the Stags three up in a miserable afternoon for the Notts fans. Notts County fought from a goal down to lead at Port Vale only for a late Tom Pope equaliser to force the spoils to be shared in a 2-2 draw at Vale Park. The hosts led after 13 minutes when Luke Hannant guided his close-range header from Ben Whitfield's cross into the top-left corner of the net past Magpies goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons.
