Jamie Fullarton does not rule out new Notts County signings

Joe Jones

Notts County manager Jamie Fullarton has not ruled out adding fresh faces to his squad ahead of Monday's transfer deadline.

The 41-year-old has not made any new signings since arriving at Meadow Lane as Ricardo Moniz's successor, though there have been departures in the shape of Nicky Wroe joining FC Halifax.

Fullarton told reporters on Thursday: "We are still working through that aspect of making sure that anything we do improves us. It has to be the best decision for the football club and the team. Everything that I do is based around that.

"As long as you make the decisions for those two reasons - the club and the team - then you are all the better for it. But I am not ruling anything out."

Belgian defender Gill Swerts could be the next player to leave Notts as he is believed to be attracting interest from Cyprus.

I hope he isn't panicking now, after he wasn't in a rush.

Shall we compile a list to make it easier for him?

I want to continue the general mood right now by saying 'I haven't ruled out purchasing a season ticket' but unlike our current manager I will still do it and probably do it much quicker.

Come on Jamie your a man of football, go and sign someone who will restore the defence and a midfielder who can calm the game down. If you fail to do this will you feel the wraith of the queen of hearts? or the itchy trigger happy..........

Hoping it's a defender, I honestly don't believe we need much else.

Settle the squad and drill it into them to attack, if I have shout 'attack, attack, attack attack attack' repetively I will but some good news would be welcoming. Fingers crossed his task becomes easier, rather than harder. I'm still sitting on the fence about if he will or not. :P

He hasn't ruled it in either. In fact he said nothing whatsoever, as per usual.
