Kevin Nolan has praised Notts County's mentality in claiming a fourth win on the bounce against Crawley Town on Saturday.

Jorge Grant bagged the winner from Jonathan Forte's cross-shot at the Broadfield Stadium to leave the Magpies in rude health at the top of League Two.

The Notts gaffer told the official site following the 1-0 win: β€œI’m absolutely delighted. The lads have got a mentality about them now.

β€œThey’ve come here and made sure they played the way they wanted to play and countered Crawley’s strengths. I thought we deserved the win.

β€œWhen we’re not on top form in possession, we make sure we scrap and battle. Sometimes you’ve got to put your body on the line.”

β€œThere’s more to come from these lads. Their confidence will grow and they’re learning every day.

β€œI feel we’re going to continue to get better if we can keep working the way we have.

β€œThe attitude and application was absolutely fantastic today and that’s why we’ve won the game.”

Got to say I agree with that , seems like we are made of strong stuff now , mentally at it and physically up for the battle , proud of the lads , strong tests to follow in next three games especially , but a strong and loud COYP from me .

There's certainly more to come in terms of the performance, though as I say and have repeatedly mentioned - this will come with further form and confidence. It just shows you how funny football can be!

In Kevin Nolan we trust.

i feel the same way, i think things can only get better if we keep believing in them and the players continue to work hard.
