Wouldn't change much unless there are niggles, one we should win comfortably if we can play to our potential,  though could be a banana skin. Concentrate we win

We beat Aldershot 3-2 at home back in September. Aldershot are 8 points clear of the drop zone. They are not safe yet so they have something to play for. This could be a tricky tie for Notts but you'd expect Notts to win if they approach the game in the right manner. I'll go for a nervy 1-0 win for Notts.

In a match where, my gut feeling, Notts had towards 70% possession....our inability to defend when the opposition breaks quickly says a lot. Simple things like tracking runners, we were no where near good enough. When you look at other teams at the top of the table, their defenders are far superior to ours. We made a team containing Christian Oxlade Chamberlain look good... and we didnt really put him under any pressure.

Ruben missed 2 golden chances but we had no answer to Aldershot's time wasting theatrics, some of which may be Oscar nominated.

The dismissal of DKE seemed a complete farce. The referee was no where near the level required, failing to give a 2nd penalty when Namane was brought down.

We are too one paced, trying to build up the pitch. We need to be looking to break quicker and use the pace of Nemane

Aldershot away has done us in again. We just can't seem to get a run going this season and it feels like a case of one step forwards and two steps back (again!) Teams will be battling like that in the play-offs and I just don't trust us to be able to match them at the minute, especially away from home and that's a big worry for me.

And I get the ref obviously wasn't great but we've still got to defend much better, hopefully Cameron and Brindley coming back can give us a boost.

The only bonus for us is that Chesterfield are getting worse and Grimsby couldn't beat Barent so somehow we stay 5th!

We approach matches against the better teams and those against the Weymouths and the Aldershots very differently, and that's part of the problem. It's disrespectful, and frankly there's no excuse for the opposition "wanting it more" when we have (or rather had) a top-three place to fight for. Now it'll be the play-off quarter-finals for us again. We can thank our lucky stars we're somehow still in the top five.
