I am sure it's not directly due to Robbie Fowler, or at least nothing dodgy on his behalf. He's made a good income investing his career earnings into properties, and although I don't know much about this story, I suspect he may have been fooled into any promises he gave simply because of his passion.

Things like this are always sadly such a huge gamble.
