We had some really good teachers but we had others who were sadistic child beaters who were posing as teachers.


 


I wonder what would happen today if a teacher took a cane out of a cupboard and struck a child six times on the bottom so hard that they had wealds for weeks after or used a strap on a child so hard their hand bled. They would lock the teacher up and throw away the key but that's the sort of thing that happened only 40 or so years ago.


 


Did I enjoy school absolutely not.
