Dan Gosling has departed Meadow Lane

he never impressed, it might be unfair to say he seemed poor because it could very well be that he needed further game time but i would not have signed him. i dont think he felt league two was beneath him but i do think his time here will see him show more desire to continue his career. i fully expect him to sign for a league one club now.

maybe a team like charlton or burton.

I agree @liampie it probably became apparent in training that he didn't fit with the Notts system.

I wish him well in his future endeavours.

Him going opens up another place for the New Head Coach to work with.

I`m slightly surprised he didn`t make it. He barely played at all.

He has great experience with possession based football (Bournemouth) but LW is very picky and stuck with Austin/JOB instead. Gosling just didn`t seem to bring the necessary energy and whenever he got the ball he chose the safer pass instead of being more progressive-minded.

Hopefully Robertson will settle down quickly and fit into the style of the upcoming head coach.

I don’t want to be too harsh as he suffered a really bad injury and didn’t play for a year before joining us, but he had no impact on the team on the pitch. He is (probably is - I don’t know him) a decent guy with lots of experience and a good pro for the younger players. However it just didn’t work out, we’ve got Robertson in now so I’m not surprised he’s not staying.

I agree that what you say. Hopefully Dan will do better elsewhere.

Agree. It didn't work out for him here. He's much better than what he showed here.
