Found the game which was televised by the BBC, Dean Yates made a bad mistake that led to the Spurs goal but Dean, Fairclough, Davis and Smalley played a blinder to keep a very strong Spurs side out for the rest of the game. Ian McParland scored our goal. Attendance was good too. Not shown on here but we had a chance to win this in the dying seconds.

Yes @Robbie Mick Waitt headed on for David Hunt to volley home...ref inexplicably blew for a non existent foul by Mick Waitt.

I was angry then, still angry 38 years later, that disallowed goal still in my memory bank!

I also remember the back page of one of the tabloids, on the Friday... showing Mick Waitt in the gym...headline "Waitt watching"!

Refs are even worse now. They have VAR to help them make more mistakes????
