Deal or no deal?

It's hardly a show that exercises the old cerebellum, but nevertheless I am drawn to it. Noel Edmunds has his share of haters, but he seems a nice enough chap as far as nice chaps go.

Now the question is: did you see today's show? If not, watch it late night.

The guy - Roop Singh - won a big amount (see, didn't want to spoil it for you) and if only his nerve had held it could have been a lot more.

I know Roop from years ago. He is an absolutely top notch person. A true Sikh. You will not find a more honourable bloke and he's so

appreciative of this country. I have seen him face a group of 100 kids or who were less than impressed by his 'foreign' appearance. Within 10 minutes he had them 'eating out of his hand'. Big Leeds fan, but nobody's perfect, Larry.

A person of my intelligence shouldn't like this show, but I do! (Arrogant get).

I do like Bradley Walsh in 'The Chase' too and that does exercise the old intellect. Could beat any of those chasers any day. Well maybe not frosty knickers.

I don't get much time to watch the modern quiz/game shows, I also have to admit I miss the older ones. When I lived with my parents, @GrannyPie would always watch deal or no deal. For me, Noel makes the show and the banter between the banker of course. Eggheads used to drive me crazy, that's one of @super_rams favourites but I don't like eggheads, I'm not a fan of people who are smug (serious type).

The Chase is amusing but I loved Golden Balls! Jasper! That would make my day if it returned.

Bulls eye, Catchphrase, Family Fortunes, The Price is Right... Those were the days! ;)

I still love countdown.  Have watched it for years and years.  In fact my lad learned his alphabet from countdown.  As a baby he was fascinated by it and then one day went up to the washer and pointed out all the letters on the programmes.  Strangely they didn't seem to like that at school as he didn't say them phonetically and they were capitals, not lower case.

Anyway, back to the original post, You really reckon you could beat frosty knickers Sid?  There's a battle I'd like to see!

We are hooked on Pointless BBC1 at tea time, does anyone watch that?

We did used to watch Eggheads or smug heads as we like to call it, seen the chase a couple of times and it's quite good and we did have a run of watching Deal or No Deal but eventually tired of it.

I was boasting! Those chasers are phenomenal but Frosty Knickers is tops IMO. I believe that the role of chaser is a professional one and they spend their days soaking up the kind of knowledge that wins these quizzes. Absolutely useless pap for the most part, it wouldn't save them if we were confronted by a Biblical flood or summat...hold on a minute...

I know DOND is dumb and can be reduced to competitive box opening, but a human drama of sorts is enacted before you. Anyway, putting it like that - box opening - even Shakespeare can be reduced to so much paper, pen and ink.

I watched last night on catch up.Top bloke.I'll forgive him being a Leeds fan. It's the contestants that 'make' these shows.

I used to like University Challenge.I sometimes surprised myself with my knowledge and the students lack of knowledge.

I used to be part of a quiz team started long before this was on TV.  We were called the scrambled Eggheads
