i remember reading about a non league team that used caravans as a way to allow teams to get change. i have tried looking it up but i cant find anything, it was a very low down team.

Why not? It's quirky and it repurposes an old bus. A lot of non-league clubs have parts of their stands taken from sheds and other building materials. I forget what, @super_ram told me about Alfreton Town's stand(s). It's something along this line, that one of the stands was made up of something re-used nearby.
