All the Notts players, the starting eleven plus the substitutes were heros tonight. Every single one of them played their socks off to get a result. Two great performances when it was needed. Two clean sheets in a playoff semi final is massive. It was a Martin Paterson inspired victory.

The players that I have selected are all the players that played on that green turf for Notts tonight.

For once it seems unfair to pick a MoM as the GK and 3 defenders were all absolutely immense.

All were heros as @Robbie says but those 4 were superheros.

If my arm's forced I have to say Lucas Ness who won everything and was pretty immaculate. He definitely made up for the penalty in the first leg, and hopefully this game will give him the confidence to put in another great performance at Wembley

Agree, very tough call. I’d go for Norburn tbh - hugely energetic, aware and combative display. Solid team display, absolutely no passengers - but special mention to Ness & McD who were both immaculate and Belshaw, Bedeau & Robertson put in great shifts too. What we lacked in passing accuracy and clinical finishing we made up for with grit, finesse, organisation & collective effort. The skill levels of Luker and Iorpenda were very evident.

I’d also give a notable mention to Jones, I think he’s been sub par this season, he was superb for an hour. Great stuff.

Got to agree with the comments above I’d like to give all the defence the man of the match if I have to choose I will go for Ness, he seemed to head every ball that came his way, a superb performance.

McBedeauness without a doubt - the three-headed beast handled everything (the admittedly uninspired) Chesterfield threw at him all night. But it feels wrong to single anyone out, it was a committed and well organised display and they deserve their success.

I would say the match was pretty much similar to the first leg in that there was wasn't much quality on show for either side in the final third. Defensively we were very good again. My vote therefore goes to Lucas Ness. Not just for the headers won but what I particularly like is his reading of the game. He so often nips in to win the ball before the attacker has received the pass. We need to get him tied down to a longer contract!
