Well worth a watch if you have a spare 90 mins. Loved the insights and observations about past and current players/managers/matches etc. The bit about his failed attempt to get a contract extension is a painful watch. He'll be pleased to have got his side of the story out, but, as they say, there's always two sides to these things. You can’t help but love the guy and wish him success. Says he still wants to play in the Championship again. Good he's still got ambition but I'm not sure if that's in his reach. Time will tell. K-Ci deserves a lot of credit for these interviews. Has a great way of getting players to open up.

On the departure, I'm delighted we got to hear JJ's side. I also think we got most of the other side there too, re 'the model', but not all...they'll have been influenced.

It didn't change the way I feel and think. As well as appreciating Jodi as a player, he's a great guy too and that shows in how he'll keep on supporting Notts. He's one of us now, at the same time as being a Bromley player, unfortunately.

I found time to watch it too, it really is worth watching Jodie seems a real genuine type of person and although he feels a little aggrieved that he wasn’t offered a contract extension he has nothing bad to say about the club.

His insights into his years at Notts makes a fascinating listen.

We will miss Jodie he will always be a legend at Notts and I really hope he gets his wish to play in the championship one day.

I will always look upon Jodi as a Notts icon. There are so many highlights during his career at Notts, the record assists, the vital goals that he scored, the special moments that he created in the playoffs, his personality on and off the pitch shone through too. A special player & person.

The club has to move on, but I think we will all miss him. I hope that he can continue the success at Bromley, but hopefully not against us.

I had heard that Jodi had been interested in joining us or Wrexham; it's good to know the club took the chance because we have had a good time with Jodi Jones representing us. We have many memories, and not just the playoffs finals or promotions. To be playing at the level he can, after such injuries it is a credit to his character and ability.

It also explains why he defended better last season than I am used to seeing, but he's not a natural at it. You can see Jodi is better going forward; a very interesting interview, and K-Ci has done very well.

I'm mindful that there's always two sides to a story, but Jodi's side is very different from what is being portrayed and it comes across as geninue. It's going to be interesting if we have a fans forum, as I suspect this will be one of the questions us fans will want cleared up, but will the club be transparent? After all, every question is screened.

Absolutely. Completely credible IMO. Different to the suggestion on Magpie Circle that he wanted to move on.

There's pride involved obviously, and loved lost because of the long silence and the eventual answer, but the most important point is that he's a 28 year-old player with a terrible injury history who needed more job security for a young family. He didn't even asked for a rise!

Re: another version about JJ's departure; sometimes people listen to the wrong one. Paul may be misadvised or listening to the wrong source. It's why I am tight-lipped about things I know, even if they come directly from a player. Dean Leacock once told me some insights after a fans’ forum, and they turned out to be valid, but I would never have repeated them.

There are other areas of our fan base who are quick to seem in the know or spread rumours.

Nobody is perfect, not even I, but I wouldn't risk the reputation I have built over the years for some quick attention or gossip.

The part about him travelling makes me appreciate that a move to Bromley would allow him not only to cut down the distance but also have more quality time with his family. I don't feel disappointed with the club. A big talking point before the Doncaster game was transparency from the club, and we do seem to always say players are injured when we are selling them. This isn't the way to treat your supporters; it's not a good image, and I think it's misleading, but I am mindful of the two sides to each story.

Sometimes there's truth in both parties, but we are unlikely to know Notts' side because I doubt a reporter will ask.

Jodi Jones’ agent might have mentioned Wrexham, but there were no talks at all with the club. There was some reported interest when he became a free agent after his loan with you ended and his contract at Oxford United ran out, but we never showed any real interest. It wasn’t because Jones isn’t a good player. Phil Parkinson already had his own list, and the belief that Jones would return to you kept any interest on our side completely still.
