PNE away is a test of any teams promotion aspirations. I doubt we get anything out of this game. I reckon we'll get 7 points of 15 in August and that would be a successful start.

At least the boxing and new years fixtures are at home. We do end to get he naff fixture lists here at Notts!

I don't get how a fixture list can be considered crap or whatever myself. Everyone's playing the same teams twice at the same grounds, just different dates. I think we've a good start. PNE are a bogey side but then we have a couple of very winnable games.

We have to play all teams sometime, so it don't matter when, if we have a better team than last season's, then we won't get rolled over so easy as the Walsall and Rotherham games. Derry and Greg won't allow it.

I'm much happier with the opening fixtures, it's not a bad run really. Last years wasn't the best though I did feel confident it would test us, however perhaps the run of big games played part of our downwards spiral.

Preston aren't anything to fear, good side and all but still.

Better than usual as far as I can see!

I miss. 4 home games due to hols but there are a few away games that I can get to, so not too bad.

The B Hol fixtures are very good IMO. We just need half a dozen more players!
