does anyone else think we have a squad now? compared to last years team it seems we had way to many individuals. players like jones and smith give us what bishop did before he left.

our defense looks much better.

what are your thoughts on the squad?

I forget who said this but Derry's signed players who will keep us in this league, not a promotion chasing side but with the hard work being shown, there is no reason why we couldn't ****** some good wins and be in or around there. I still say, mid table but our squad has massively changed. I was and some point still am about the age of our midfield, though Gary Jones was ace yesterday.

The defence being young isn't such a problem, they should be more alert and when we get players like Edwards, Mullins back into the squad they'll offer that experience which comes from "knowing" the game.

If I was to single anything out currently, it would be our ability to go forward. It's not quite there, chances are wasted and players don't quite make enough movement to attract passes, so then players fall into dangerous areas or attempt passes which are easy to intercept. This should resolve when we have a little more pace available, yet I would like to see each player supporting attacking players but this isn't a negative.

Really good well earned team point yesterday, it made it worth the £23/26 to enter London Road.

This is a team that is worthy of the Notts Shirt. Results are always important, but this season so far, we have a team which plays and cares for each other. We haven't had that for quite a years now, probably since the munto season.

I think we have a squad of battlers now. COYP!

We have a strong squad in numbers who will all give 100%, but i think that bit of quality will come in the form of loan signings, an interesting season ahead.

I haven't been this excited going into a season.

Bit worried at the start, but as we progressed. We've gotten better & better

As you say, another Rollercoaster of a season for the thick skinned Notts fans

colin slater made comments about the fans not flooding to leave on saturday, he mentioned how the fans appreciate the performance put in. i think the togetherness makes a huge difference, so a squad of trying players is a great thing.

As the saying goes-Rome wasn't built in a day,at least SD has given us something to build on.

I don't see Notts getting involved in a relegation battle. As @magpiejue says ,you have a team of battlers, giving 100%.

We just have to hope they keep battling eh.

I agree, though I am concerned that it could sway towards a relegation fight. It's easy for things to disappear, though Les Bradd said last on MatchTalk that Derry/Abbott are trying to work positive forward play into the training. Interesting was the mentioning of our play, which Derry pretty much insulted a fan! (previous week), yet it was picked up yesterday because more are complaining.

Cassidy needs a partner simple, things might be a lot better then.
