Burton's search for a new manager continues, but one of those on the list is Jimmy "Keith" Floyd Hasselbaink.

I didn't realize they needed a manager.

Jimmy might work, I am sure about him as a manager but it would be nice to change this concept floating around. I'm sure they'll push on, they've done well to get into the football league and I like how they've done it the right way. I hope they can get the act together and push back to contending for positions in and around the play-offs.

difficult take for them to find the right man for the team and situation, they need someone who knows the lower leagues for me. reputation is not always the best thing.

Radio's just said he's got the job, Jimmy is now a go, go.

I have this feeling that it will not work but I like Burton, I wish him well and for the club. Hopefully he can build them a strong squad, as I would like to see them step up another division. We'll see what happens!

Agree with both above but wish him well.

surprised he got it but teams in lower divisions see ex players with a high profile as a benefit. hope he does well and any success is not shortly lived, they need some for a few years.

Well done to him, hope it works out...

And another one bites the dust...

Uwe Rossler has been given the WIG WAM BAM....

Uwe Rossler is overrated, I suspect he'll join a German team and do much better.

I wonder if Burton will start signing some of the dutch youngsters which fail to make the grade at Jimmy's ex sides, Edgar Davids at Barnet did a similar thing and he even played.

I think that he'll do alright as long as he doesn't expect the players he'll be working with to be as good as he once was.

Why does the "Rooney rule" thing come up every time a black manager gets appointed...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30047402

This is the 21st century, since when should Race, Colour or Creed have any bearing on the suitability of a candidate, and if I was black and got an interview on that basis, I would consider it a worse form of discrimination...

"oh but you only got the interview, because you are black"......... that stinks racism... I would rather not be involved like JFH says.

The biggest point for me in every conversation like this is the over use of Discrimination, this would be deemed as positive discrimination?? Really the very fact that it is a form of discrimination is the sole point.

For me unless the use of ALL racist language in whatever form, by EVERYBODY no matter their respective race, colour or creed is eradicated then we will never reach a point when we can move on as a society.
