In all Seriousness Notts were never going to win the FA cup. So we have to believe that we are better off out of it. 30 league games left is plenty of competitive football and the fact that there are no other distractions could prove to be a godsend. After the Manchester City millionaires knocked us out a couple of seasons ago our form slipped alarmingly. Give it everything we've got in the league and we might be pushing for outright promotion, never mind the play-offs. Before this season I would have been happy with a mid table finish but I seriously believe that there is a togetherness at Notts, the likes of which has been missing for a few seasons now.

Too true. We do occasionally need a reality check, Seriously think back to Oldham on the last day last time around. If any fan there would have said next year you'll be looking at top six for the first 3rd of the season they would have been laughed out of the ground!


Top 6 now, after xmas, aim for top!

The blips for me are those checks, it's a reminder we can't and won't always win.

So far this season its been amazing, we've won more than I'd have thought and it's good to have that togetherness, it came about more so under Shaun Derry's first few results. It's now progressing nicely, though I would accept mid table, I am hoping we can help to spare on the squad. Greatness sometimes isn't that far behind hard work, so lets see.

A cup run would have been nice but so often if a good run is achieved it is it at the cost of the league form so in that respect hopefully now we are out of the cup we can push on and go for at least a play off place.

We should always focus more on the league than other competitions. Its where we need to improve and keep up the good form to stay in league one or go up.
