Having put a few what some might consider negative posts on I thought I would put on a more positive post.

Are you a lifeline member? Do you buy a 50-50 ticket at the match? These are important revenues of income for the club and can pay dividends as I have found.

A couple of years ago I was surprised to receive a phone call from my wife whilst I was at work, fearing the worst (because she never phoned me at work) I asked her what was wrong and she said nothing was wrong in fact quite the opposite, the postman had just been and we had received a check for £1,000 from Notts County. I never check the lifeline numbers so was really pleasantly suprised when I won the top prize. We had a nice holiday that year.

Similarly I always buy a 50-50 ticket and have had two wins in recent years. The first time I was with my son so I shared it with him we had about £280 each, the second time I was on my own but it was a night match so not so much but did go home with just over £300.

I also once won a raffle at the lifeline gala dinner and won an executive box for a match of my choice, so me and 7 friends and family got to watch a match in style all for the price of a raffle ticket.

So you can support the club in all sorts of ways and benefit at the same time. Anyone else been lucky?

I hope I can safely say this but I am sure we all understand how the community feels, I didn't view your comments re the game as negative (as such) and my dad summed it up well with his response I believe.

My grandfather used too, although I never have. I don't play the lottery, well I do sometimes but I tend to stop after awhile and the same would happy with the above, as I am not much a gambling person. (I just heard Super Ram laugh) I like fruit machines but I know my limits. It must of been a great surprise to hear you had won the top price, it's also nice to hear how you spent it Tony.

You sound fairly lucky! good for you mate. :)

Only semi thing I can mention of worth - I won a CD Player in the early 90's after noticing my Cadbury's Caramel bar had a winning message inside.

Thanks for sharing Tony!

Tony, you gave extra support to Notts and in return they supported you, seems fair enough to me,good luck to you.I used to do the pools but never won more than a few quid.I did win £1000+ on the lottery when I was made redundant after 34 years with one company, which helped until I found fresh employment. My two sons like to rope me in on quiz machines when we sometimes go for a meal, with very mixed results.

Been a lifeline number for some years now, don't think they can find number 156 ^_^

As for 50/50. Yes I do purchase now and again. Problem is, and its a long standing one this one, I enter the KOP via County Road. There are never any ticket seller's in the area, quite often not even program sellers. Point this out to the club on a few occasions, issue has never been resolved. (maybe its my fault for entering the ground as soon as the gates open, not giving these people time to get there  )
