Why would a guy like Ricardo Moniz want to come to Notts?

Look at objectively. We're rubbish. We're looking down the barrel regarding dropping to the lowest league.

We have no money.

We have a squad that has gone through a season of hoofball (again like most seasons in recent history with Trews managers)

He is a technically gifted manager who could in reality walk into much MUCH bigger jobs in most countries incl the top division in UK imo.

Rumours about Shan as his coach also doing the rounds. WHY?

What is happening that we dont know about? I know if I were him I would be giving it a wide birth and saying "give it to Danny Wilson. He's always bloody mentioned so give him a crack of the whip."

If we don't have a budget for Ferguson or Pressley or Wilson what are we doing talking to a manager like Moniz?

If he does come then it's a tough gig for him. Can you imagine the response when he says to Haydn Hollis I want you to do that thing called pass to your team-mate in front of you???

Maybe this is the storyline for the new X-Files series!

C'mon it's always like this, I wouldn't worry what the press say.

Wait for it to be announced before panicking, it was just a few days ago 90% of who I came in contact with insisted Darren Ferguson would be coming in - which made little sense to me and so I took it with a pinch of salt. If we don't announce a new manager, the press will revert back to the Paul Hart to become Notts County manager!

Just read and smile people.

I think on this one @notts-joe it may be a nailed on appointment.

My issue, from his perspective, is why would he come to us. Which in turn leads to the question what else is going off behind the scenes.

I agree with @hiissingdwarf this seems very odd, it doesn't add up somehow, I will await developments eagerly and whoever gets put in charge will have my full backing.

Personally I think @notts-joe is in with a good chance, look how he has transformed PoN from non-league to Premiership in a very short time.
