Last seasons loan signings

Last seasons loan signings would you bring any back if notts could get them?

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

Don McLean

Yes:

Burke & Williams. Did well in League 1, surely they would do even better in League 2?

Stephen McLaughlin. Scored for Southend last night. Has impressed, he will be available for loan again. We should snap him up.

Louis Laing. Just the kind of defender we need.

Realistically, unless they are released by their parent clubs, we aren't going to see any of them in black and white again. The point of loaning out players is to prepare them for the Premier League  /Championship. The parent clubs aren't going to see dropping into League Two as a positive step in that development, they'll want them to stay in League One at the very least.

I'd throw Zeli Ismail into the mix which has been mentioned above.

We had some decent loan players, I know of fans who want us to sign the Thomas lad from Derby - I am sitting on the fence with regards to that but he didn't do anything wrong. I just want us to have positions taken by players who already have a level experience useful to push on. I see him as being more a development player myself.

That said, I do hope Moniz resorts to buying firstly and only using the loan system to top up our squad.

So realistically, I don't think we will be seeing many back for the reasons of what league we are now in and the fact the manager wants to work with his own players, not someone else's.
