Something has to give, however I am not sure the coverage is fair because it makes it seem that all clubs avoid hiring managers based on the colour of their skin, rather than the merits each manager processes. That said, I really hope it does pave way for managers to given a fair shot and hopefully we will see some black players progress into management.

I do think we have to avoid the 'we must' hire, because it will should be down to the talent and CV, which I just think that if someone like Paul Ince doesn't get a job - he will end up crying wolf and then the game will be into dispute.

Overall I am keen to see the changes because some managers are very unlucky not to have a fair chance and it does seem that some clubs aren't very forward thinking.

I am thankful that Notts look at things differently.

How will this work? What happens if managers complain?

I honestly don't see much changing, if a manager is good enough they should be appointed. Ethnic backgrounds should never come into appointments at all, people should see past it but I dont see how it can be made fairer myself.

I thought this would be about Wayne having an open target every 2-5 games he plays as a striker for united.

Its about time they did something but I am not sure they will see instant results.

i do think its stupid how many black manager there are in the modern game, not enough considering but i think part of the problem is that not many seem willing to start from the bottom. i hope nobody jumps on me for typing that! i just read all the time that ex retired player applies for newcastle, swansea, championship clubs etc.

lower clubs i do think is the way forward.
