1. Has anyone ever been?

2. Is the 'new' relationship between USA and Cuba a good idea?

It's an interesting one for me because it's a place I've always wanted to visit and always watched their political situation with interest. (hands up those who have at some point had a Che t-shirt or poster!!!)

The new relationship between the U.S and Cuba is nothing more than a gimmick, you would not catch me visiting the country either.

Its quite clear that there is more to this than what the cameras or politicians want you to believe, there is no quick way to resolve the animosity and this must leave questions to why all of a sudden the two nations are now best friends.

I don't really have an opinion, so I can't comment. I hear its a beautiful country but apart from that, really my opinion isn't worth airing.

About time that diplomatic relations between the two countries resumed. We're no longer in the midst of the Cold War, and even in the current Neo-Cold War (Russia, North Korea etc) climate, Cuba don't really seem to be doing much in terms of creating animosity. Hopefully it will result in better conditions for the island's people.

Bang on the Money!!!!

This is our Skeg, I've been 4 times in 15 years since being in Canada and LOVE it (Especially to get away from -35 weather in February) . You feel sorry for the Folks that live down there,  but as long as you treat them like any other human being, they'll be your friend for Life.

No offence American Pie, & Dana Shoup. But the average American tourist has a sense of Entitlement to antthing and everything.

So the fact you have Mainly Canadians & Brits on the Island. It really does feel like Home in more way's than one

I've never been further west than Liverpool but I'd love to head across the Atlantic, and Cuba would be an amazing place to stop over. The cars, the culture, everything really appeals to me. Some are worrying that the influx of cold, hard capitalism will dilute the island's culture but I'm hoping that the quality of life for Cubans will go up (although their healthcare system is meant to be amazing, so let's hope Big Pharma doesn't get its mitts on it)...
