Penalty taker

During last nights game McLeod was upended in the penalty area and the ref quite rightly pointed to the spot. Noble immediately grabbed the ball and marched towards the spot but McLeod wanted to take it from him, after a bit of argy bargy Noble scored a good penalty so all ended well and McLeod high fived him BUT wouldn't it be better if we had a designated penalty taker? At least then everyone would know who was taking it and we wouldn't have these embarrassing scenes.

Agreed @[member="tonyhateley"].A penalty taker has to be prepared and in the right frame of mind and this isn't always the case in the heat of the moment when a penalty is awarded.

I think noble as always took them I think you had to realise McLeod really had a point to prove last night and he got in a few tussles with Crawley players for me it shows abit of passion an care aslong as it goes in I don't care and we would need a second penalty taker as noble isn't always likely to be on the pitch with his red card record

Yes, it was good job Noble scored, otherwise I could imagine things might have got a wee bit tasty!

I like the cut of MacLeod's jib. He is willing, eager and wants to be involved. He deserved a goal last night - 2 very sharp finishes that were well stopped by their keeper and a neat flick onto the roof of the net. He was alert and predatory - goals will come.
