Loach,   7.5  Not really tested but extremely competent

Wildin,    7   Another match, I am convinced he will Right Back for years to come

Amevor  7  Cool and comfortable

Audel    6 Good in defence, distribution let him down

Sharpe, 6.5 Improving...some good crosses

Noble   6.5 sub'd at h/t

Valencic  6.5 some nice passes

De Silva, 6.in central midfield, did a reasonable job

Gibson  7  grew as the game progressed, good goal

Bishop 5 still not seeing any real hope in terms of goal scoring threat.

Snijders 5.5 disappointed that he failed to make most of his opportunity. Well marshalled by their defence

Subs

Clayton Naute 4 Too lightweight

Sarpong  5 Nothing of note

Aghatise 6 Pencil in for central defence for next seasons squad

Layton not on long enough to rate

I forgot about the game, hopefully @Elite_pie and others can shed further light on the game.

I must get myself down sometime.

The first half had some free flowing Moniz style football and we perhaps should have more than 2 on the board...maybe 4 should have warranted our play. Second half, substitutions affected our play, Clayton Naute got an awakening on playing with the Pro's. As Hartlepool came into the game, they still didnt trouble Loach too much and Gibson's shot across the keeper was well executed, when one thought the chance had been lost. I would add Hartlepool should have been down to 10 men first half when Snijders was through on goal, the covering defenders were behind the line of play. A yellow card was issued by the ref.

All in all, good medicine after what we witnessed on Saturday. Wildin increasingly looks the part at right back. Amevor captain and cool as a cucumber. Audel centre half was moved to midfield after 45, until substituted. Another clean sheet and hope some of this talent will get called for 1st team duties

Piethagoram has summed up the game perfectly.  As far as the first team goes, Amevor and Audel must have given Fullarton something to think about in central defence.  Wildin and Sharpe should be close to making the bench now and once mid table looks assured it's worth looking to the future and giving them a bit of experience if we have nothing to play for.

@Elite_pie  need to copy and paste what Elite has said elsewhere..." Clayton-Naute is so small he wouldn't be out of place in one of the half time kids games. He must weigh less than one of Akinfenwa's legs! It must have been a great experience for the kid however, and I do like the way Dryden is giving a lot of the youth players a little taste of the (for them) big time. It will give them an idea of the sort of standard they need to aim at in order to make the next step up.

nice comparison with Akinfenwa's leg...apt but true :D

where do fans watch? the pavis looked like nobody was there.

Only half of the Pavis is open, the bit between the Family stand and halfway line.  There's just one turnstile and one shutter of the tea bar open!  Probably only a couple of hundred there, but I've quite enjoyed the last 3 Tuesdays.

Well done sir!

Good report @Piethagoram, thanks for sharing.

Gibson sounds a gem!

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

@AmericanPie Thanks. I would say that Gibson can take Murray's role in the not too distant future. Murray's sharpness has not returned from his long term injury absence. Wildin does certainly looks the part for Right Back. He might be ready already for that position next season. Likewise Agathise looks a promising centre half. Hopefully Jordan Richards can be in the reckoning for next season too, if his Sligo Rovers sojourn is successful. For the first time since Mick Walker's youth teams day, we do seem to be getting "quality" youngsters coming through.

that Jordan Aghastie looks like a decent defender I know we got him from somewhere in London I think looks like a tall player quite built someone I like the looks  of.

Rutty  smith and I don't care Gibson showed more movement an class in that finsh then stead has shown all year either send him on loan somewhere an see what he can do or give him 5-10 mins near the end of the first team as we are crap at min so couldn't hurt

Gibson will be a gem until we allow him to leave on a free or say he ain't good enough.

Then hel go bang in goals somewhere else and get a big money move and we will lose out as always

@Modern Fan 1862 ???? Certainly Gibson should go on a short term loan to somewhere like Boston to get him quicker to "First Team Ready" stage. There is a big step from Final Third Development League to the First team. At least we now have a reserve team, so think we will be less likely to release first year professionals after a year, as the years before, there were only the odd arranged friendly. They now have a competitive environment to show what they can do

not Boston don't want him to be the next Kyle Dixon if anythin push for a decent conference side mid table side at best if not throw the kid on with 5 mins left just to see what he can do .

For me he looks like he's lively good movement knows where the net is I mean just give him a chance not gonna hurt is it.

5 mins here 5 mins there bring him around the team get him use to it Sharpe aswell and agahstie and Wildin all 5 mins here an there let em have a taste of it.

Cause if anything these kids will push the seniors to play and be on toes as there more hungry and I'd give Aghastie a chance now he's better then holis and Hewitt who have been terrible so he couldn't do worse

or Atkinson a month loan to Eastleigh came back and I'm not gonna lie I'm impressed with him at right back quick athletic he's only young to.

Marshalls his winger well gets stuck in bit of pace just don't take free kicks or corners tho but again he's a prospect
