Warnock favourite for Millers job

Featured Replies

Sacking Steve Evans was a very strange decision from the point of view of a neutral, and Redfearn's sacking looks like a Trew-esque last throw of the dice. No-one here has a bad word to say about Neil Warnock, his record speaks for itself, but I'm not sure he'll want the trouble of a Championship relegation fight at this stage of his career.

On a related note, I see Barnsley are managerless too. Surely Redfearn is a shoo-in for that job.

TBH, a club of our size is ALWAYS going to struggle when half the division has at least double our fanbase, income & several of them still get PL parachute payments but what is really hurting us is Evans' piss poor recruitment in the summer when he went for "experience" AKA OLD MEN re; Halford, Green, Collins, BuxtonΒ  etc who TBH only came for a payday & in Halford & Collins cases, put them on three year contracts & therefore essentially on gardening leave, nowhere near the 1st team & no other club wants them.

Then Redfearn came along, brought in players like Leon Best, Stephen Kelly & Luciano Becchio & they almost immediately got medium to long term injuries, along with his ultra negative tactics, such as playing 4-5-1 v our main rivals Charlton & Bolton, losing both games means it was time to go.
