I have just received my season ticket package, really pleased, a very informative booklet, a free ticket for a mate and magpie rewards! Good stuff

Just a shame about the programs no longer being free!

It's not possible and for good reasons, I spoke to Pete in the club shop yesterday and I won't repeat what was said but its a logical/fair enough.

I was very impressed with the discount for %30 off food, plus the three tickets - I haven't read the booklet but this is just the start of the club making it up to us fans. If we have a good season, then its time for the praise (rather than just negatives) but yeah, its a nice touch.

I'll be picking my ST up tomorrow, sounds good.  Out of interest, are there any limitations on the 'free ticket for a mate'?  I'm planning to use mine to educate my middle daughter's boyfriend, who is a Man U fan.  I want to show him what real football is like, but they only come back here every so often, so game options will be a bit limited.

What right do you have to tell me I'm wrong?  You're not my Granddaughter.

The only restriction is that they have to be of the same age category, eg if your season ticket is 18-21 then you can only bring someone between that age i believe

No, the tickets don't have age restrictions.

The only restriction Pete told me was that it's 'subject to availibility'. All my tickets are the same, including two of which came with my youngest and eldest childs season ticket. There was no mentioning of it, Pete said I could bring whoever I liked when I asked.

I'll have to re-read the booklet because that's how i read it

*the actual ticket says 'this voucher may only be redeemed for a match ticket for the equivalent age category of the season ticket holder' meaning that since my ST is a young persons (18-21) Im unable to give this voucher to someone older right ?

After the depressingly slow news of the new kit and the lack of information of when the season tickets will be made available, I find the glossy booklet to be another reminder of how poor things have gotten around the club as of late.

I see this now, just read the book myself but unless the club mark off the free-ticket per season ticket holder - I see no way that they'll be able to tell the difference. Pete did say I could take @cheeky~k8 to all three games if she wanted to come to any games, which would go against the printed restrictions.

Also the key word is 'may only' that would suggest it's not a strict rule.

Reading the booklet, strictly speaking I think that's right, but I hope there will be some flexibility from the club.  My ST is a Senior one, which means I could only bring along someone over 60.  The only over 60 mate I've got who might be interested would maybe go to the one game, but I'm convinced wouldn't pay to repeat the experience.  I wanted to use the freebie for my daughter's boyfriend - he's a Man U fan but he's also a football fan, I took him to the friendly at Ilkeston and he seemed to enjoy it.  They are hoping to move back to Nottingham in the next year, so I might just tempt him to attend the odd Notts game now and then as Old Trafford is way out of his reach.  Surely the idea of this initiative is to gain a few new fans, it would be sad if that was ruined by some petty age restriction.

What right do you have to tell me I'm wrong?  You're not my Granddaughter.
