I've just seen this story in the Nottingham Post, apparently Notts could be poised to take over Arnold Town's Eagle Valley Stadium.

This is just really weird, if the stories made up or someone's lied about a "league one cup" being interested... I don't see why?

If it's true, why would Jim deny it and what would the point of that be? It's not like keeping it a secret will help and this is likely to hinder his reputation. I guess it wouldn't be a bad thing, it depends how they went about it. It's just a case of if it's true or not?

It's a nice ground, I had a look around it a few years back and certainly could be somewhere the players could train and if it helped clubs remain available to play there then it's not a bad thing.

So Arnold Town would be allowed to continue playing there? I hope so. It would be a good investment I reckon. Place to train, plus income from teams using the facilities.

It would be great to let the Rugby Club play there as well. Save our pitch for football.
