Match ratings vs Dover

Featured Replies

Slocombe 8 - Distribution good and made two excellent saves

Brindley 6 - Bit asleep in the first half. Got slightly better in the 2nd

Rawlinson 6 - Did well coping with Inih Effiong. May have been at fault for the 2nd goal

Turner 6 - As with Connell, dealt well with Effiong and passes the ball well. Sometimes caught napping

Bakayogo 7 - Got well down the left. Defended strongly

Osborne 6 - Did ok first half. Got better as the half went on. Substituted second

Rose 6 - Penalty tucked away nicely. Works hard but too many times he goes back with the ball

Booty 7 - Always looks for that forward pass. Was our best hope of unlocking the Dover defence. Comfortable in possession

Boldewijn 7 - Ran forward with the ball and bought the play into Dover's half. A constant threat.

Thomas 5 - He gets into good positions but should have had two goals. His miss in the second half is embarrassing. If he could finish he'd be in League One

Wootton 5 - Worked hard and bought the ball down well in the first half. Second half largely ineffective

Subs

Shields 6 - Bag of energy. Constantly trying to make an impact on the game. Played well

Dennis 7 - Wasn't a great performance when he came on, then the 88th minute arrived. Scenes

Based on a mean of 5

Slocombe 7 Some fantastic saves but counterbalanced with what I thought was poor decision making for Dover's second

Brindley 6 Strong run into the area that brought the cast iron penalty challenge. Found it difficult to get into positions to deliver his crosses. A  firm free kick in the 2nd half but off target

Rawlinson 4 One great challenge but never looks comfortable on the ball. Would prefer Bird as Rawlinson seems a mistake waiting to happen

Turner 6 a welcome back , had to be strong to cope with Effiong

Bakayogo 5.5 some solid defending although feeling there is no real end product in an offensive mode

Osborne 6.5 What I like about Sam is his ability to hit the target. Sometimes gets caught in possession and seems unfairly substituted again

Rose 6.5 Good penalty but frustrating that he should be breaking from defence strongly with the ball. Good ball in for Dennis to score

Booty 6.5 What I like is his positional sense to be given the ball...but in someways maybe playing to deep

Boldewijn 4 A stupid challenge to give away free kick for Dover's first. Still not working hard enough as he should be taking Dover players out of position but doesn't

Thomas 5.5 Finishing is deserting him despite making some intelligent runs where he was not picked out

Wooton 6 Solid front man performance but players linking up went missing

Subs

Shields 5.5 some spark but also a bit lightweight. At least seemed to drive forward centrally

Dennis 7 It's about taking chances, nice flicked equaliser,  Notts get out of jail card

I think it shows how we can fight when the morale in the camp is good, obviously I didn't make it either but I will add my ratings for tomorrows game.

A field where dreams become reality.

Thanks for sharing the ratings, can I please ask anyone who can to please post the ratings after Saturdays game?

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
