Have I Done The Right Thing?

I can't make it to the match this Saturday so I have given mine and George my grandson's season tickets to our next door neighbour who has a grandson who wants to go to a football match.

Now here is the rub, my next door neighbour is a lovely chap but is a Fword fan, he just happened to tell me that he was thinking of taking his grandson to Notts because he didn't know how he would be with a big crowd at the ground across the river. As I wasn't using my cards I thought I would offer them to him. He was delighted and thanked me but I wondered if I had done the wrong thing.

On the one hand he is a Fword fan and might bring bad luck but on the other hand they say that the first match you go to you support that team so maybe his grandson will become a Notts fan? If next door neighbour and his grandson enjoy the match they may go again thereby bringing more fans in and I have told him to buy food, drinks, 50/50 ticket and programme etc. so Notts will benefit financially.

Yes ,you've done the right thing.Hopefully Notts will end the awful run they're on and your next door neighbour's grandson will be hooked on Notts. Also the poor chap taking his grandson will see the light and realise there is only one team in Nottingham worth supporting. So you will have helped enlist 2 new Notts fans.Whatever the outcome it is a very nice gesture you have made

Top Gesture, but, I am a tad concerned that one of them still gets to influence the poor mite. He should be made to drop the wee fella off at reception, where he can be given the full brain washing by Mrs T. And then if the wee man, still considers his dodgy coloured shirt wearing Grandfather worthy, he can collect him from reception.

Hopefully that will totally ensure the wheel falls off his barrow
