  1. I strongly urge you to start following other members whom you find interest in reading their opinions, just as you would on Twitter or any other social media platform. Although, I understand that the terminologies may differ. Also, please do take a moment to follow discussions, forums of which interest you. Maybe even a category from the article sections, such as news or features. You will get notified or emailed based on your preference. You can set them to be grouped, daily, single blah, blah blah. See your notification settings here: https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/notifications/options/ You get the gist. It will enable you to never miss a thing and to become more involved. Make new friends and, follow your favourite PON sections!
  2. Core update installed, I had to wait for the site to be quiet to do it - otherwise nobody would have access to PON. Dev says he's fixed the issue with the TopicFeed, it was partly due to a bug in the core system and some changes which needed amending to work what had altered. Please do let me know if the problem persists or if something else occurs.
  3. You're right, they're big boots and I hope whoever does come in continues Jason's approach with the fans @Fan of Big Tone. It would be highly advantageous for the club if one of the brothers could become more engaged. Despite their busy schedules and management responsibilities, collaborating with an experienced CEO would offer valuable insight. I'm not suggesting the Reedtz are only partially involved, not at all. They are good at making decisions, but having more hands-on experience in running the club would be beneficial for the club. Whoever comes in, I hope they get behind the fans and tries to just get an understanding of Notts from the perspective of how the club is progressing.
  4. I would say that I believe we have a good chance of going up this season to League One, there's much that can change, and it's all about the fixtures going our way. Yet in terms of quality, if we keep playing as we can, there's no reason why we can't. This isn't something I expect, but I believe it's realistically possible. As for when we get to League One, I have said the same thing many times. We need to become a strong League One club, there's no point gaining promotion to the Championship only to come straight back down. Not only could we potentially lose good key players, but you need to be a side like Charlton, Peterborough. Where you have the quality to compete at the upper end of League One if we do come down. The key is to establish a competitive squad and keep building on a core of players who are settled. This offers stability and direction. If we can get it right at League One level, we might be able to hang with the big boys in the Championship. I don't mean the upper half, I mean mid-table/lower. It's just a repeat process after that, ensuring you don't go backwards.
  5. I read all the articles, but I usually don't reply except for features because now I'm responsible for writing the front end content since JJ is no longer active. I believe because fans take their time to contribute, the least I can do is give a detailed reply. That's what I try to aim to do. Simon Clark's content is undeniably enjoyable, and personally, his work stands out as one of my favorites. Forum posts, I reply to everything. I must revitalize my engagement with the blogs and encourage the members of the Facebook group to extract valuable content from both the forum and blogs, since I intend to boost the promotion of said content through social media. I always reply to messages and put in maximum effort because I believe starting a discussion deserves attention. My routine now, is to come find a good discussion. I share that out via Facebook and Twitter. I come and do a few posts, then I start planning what else will go out on social media. Between checking for Notts news, then coming back to post. Usually, after 3PM, I start doing my daily server maintenance to keep everything smooth. I make sure everything is update and I try to find time to resolve any issues which may occur. PON for me is like a full time job, it's a privilege, and I am very lucky.
  6. Folks, I am hoping the dev will have this resolved shortly. I could disable it, but the big is very selective and proving itself to be quite random. I have tried to trigger it myself, without success. I do keep seeing others experience the issue, please understand that it might take a little time. In the meantime, I would suggest you use it. Fully open the discussion and write your response out, once you have this try reading the post and see if you like any. By engaging with the post itself, before posting I think it shouldn't occur to you. If you post straight to the discussion or topic, this seems the most likely for it to end up misplaced. Yet it shouldn't happen. I believe it is happening due to a recent core update. I will keep you posted. If you experience it, you can either edit the post or ask a team member to delete it. We'll be happy to help.
  7. @Fan of Big Tone Can I give you some friendly advice, my dear friend? You see the peak, in which you stand? Now this is your kingdom whilst you remain top of the Guess Who, Notts County Edition forum game. Out of the white mist fog, you returned to challenge @Fozzy to what would have been a runaway train, had you not come back. Yet, my nugget of friendly advice is..... Watch where you tread from here on, as there's only one way you can go.
  8. I had been trying to get his signature from the last 4 home games, yet he never left via the main reception. In hindsight, I should've taken this as a sign. I wish him well. I don't see Oxford as being a huge stepping stone and I believe it will turn out to be a short one, yet I hope he finds a team where he shines and sees out the peak of his career. His best days will always be what he achieved at Notts County, I can't see them being beaten. Best wishes to him at Oxford, they have a superb player in Ruben.
  9. There was never any doubt, now he can get the JOB done. I love how his time at Notts will come full circle; he's a very good player to have with us. Remember to save things for difficult times or unexpected situations that may bring disappointment or sadness. Keep something like this as a backup to boost your mood. It wasn't a case of if, but when he signed.
  10. Aye, he does look good. I hope he continues to enjoy his international duties because that will only create hunger. Some people might think he will be guaranteed a space in the Malta side, but I don't think this will be the case. It benefits us and him, as he clearly enjoys representing Matla.
  11. I woke up to Jake telling Kate he didn't want to go to college and that he might as well do his work from home. @cheeky~k8 has said it's on all major channels or seems to be, it's quite confusing by the statements and what is being reported. Very saddening news indeed.
  12. Confirmed, @Joshua, I just need to figure out if this behaviour is effecting other users in the same way, or if somehow the posts of others are ending up being posted by another user when they didn't make the comment themselves. This will be resolved ASAP.
  13. Unsure about this, I don't know much about him but from what I have read it doesn't make me say yes instantly. It will be one to keep an eye on, as we should start making more signings soon.
  14. I wish Bury all the very best with moving forward, that's all from me.
  15. Aye, he does scrub up very well. It looks very dashing in his suit. A future James Bond, I think!
  16. Monday - Wednesday I didn't feel that great. I mostly did stuff online between forced rests. Thursday I was a bit more productive but again, everything mostly focused around PON and stuff online. Friday was the first time I felt better, I certainly felt my family break had caught up with me. Saturday and Sunday, I went to see my dad. We had a good chat both times, it was nice to see him. Earlier today, he put on one of his favoruite artists on the record player we got him for his birthday. Jake went with me, we had a short walk on the way home.
  17. I recall reading pieces stating that he was set to retire prior to joining Sheffield United. Did winning at Wembley change his perspective and make him see that he could help our team? Similar to how Ben Foster joined Wrexham, plus this story - https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/22582204/york-city-transfer-david-stockdale-sheffield-wednesday/
  18. This for me, played a part in what made me feel it was a good move. I felt a little sceptical before and I didn't really believe the rumour. Like some others, I thought it wasn't much truth but now he's signed I think we can look forward to having a bit more experience in the right departments. Stepping down to League Two, he should be able to make a big impact and, I think if Ruben leaves this would be where McGoldricks prime position would be for us. As he can drop deeper, come back and support the attacking play. Really happy with the recruitment so far, Jodi and Randall, now Big Dave.
  19. I have seen restaurants do similar things. There was one in Manchester when I went that used lego. It also reminds me of a video where a person placed his bins on a track, so taking them in and out became automated.
  20. West Park is lovely, when visiting Kate's side of the family we sometimes go there when it's warm. I had the urge to go see my old man today, unfortunately nobody would come with me. Kate's unwell with migraines, Ava wanted to rest, Jake was doing college work between mostly gaming and Ellie was about to eat. I had a nice time, even though we both became a little emotional talking about Skegness. I very much wanted to ensure my mum made it, I was determined to help her, but unfortunately it wasn't to be. In October, we are hoping Super comes with us. Following my family holiday, my body compelled me to rest due to the high activity level, resulting in a few days of feeling unwell, ultimately causing a delay in my ability to reunite with him. Provided the weather is nice tomorrow, Jake, myself and my brother should be going for a walk. I can't imagine where we would end up again, *cough *cough @super_ram. Even if Wally won't go, I'll make Jake come.
  21. I think having heard his interview, I feel like there's room for him in our squad and that we well hopefully benefit from it. I hope he brings a strong togetherness and leadership, similar to what we have seen from John Bostock, but I really do hope we draw the line on signing anyone else the wrong side of 30. Welcome home David, I wish you will. I hope you score plenty of goals and more importantly, I hope we are better as a squad with your presence.
  22. He arrived at us when his injuries had taken their toll, he looked like a player with the same level of ability he had before, but I think he hid well. Whilst the comments about his hair and combing habits are funny, I think he did well for us considering. I would take him back in the season we first signed him, rather than Richard Duffy at his peak. Seriously, one gets borderline hate, the other ignored for his poor attributes to our club. One person accomplished something, but was unfairly blamed for it. The other person also made mistakes time and time again, but was not blamed for it.
  23. He's 34, we don't need more experience in midfield. We can't open the doors to the retirement home again; we have seen how it causes issues and for me, it would be a step back. Yes, age is a number and a good player tends to maintain their ability quite well, but 34 is near to the age when legs do go. I would rather us continue to find young, upcoming players and convince them that we are a long term project, than a short term one for someone who might not leave us in a better position.
  24. I know, it took some talking to get Callum McGregor down. I forget which of them missed the team photo, I think that was Jack? I heard a funny story about that, but I can't be sure my memories are right. Jack always looked classy; his family knew he was going to be special. The move to Manchester City wasn't the first time they had expressed interest. L:Liverpool also once expressed interest, but Jack rejected because he wanted to play for Villa a little longer.
  25. Ruben Rodrigues I now believe will be leaving, Ipswich bound? Who knows... Aaron Nemane I think will stay, he waited to break into the Notts squad and I think he could be a major asset if he stays. An asset which I don't think would transfer well if he was to make a move to the likes of Portsmouth, where he may need to wait for his chance and time to feature regularly again. I have zero belief that Kyle Cameron will go elsewhere. I had heard that Jim O'Brien was returning, but it's something which I hope is incorrect. I want to see his time at Notts come full circle, from trying to fight for our Football League status to returning it with interest.
