The Skipper has to have confidence that promotion is viable; I think the optimism is something that will increase tenfold. I think there's a lot of chance that Notts can push on and do well in League Two. I certainly feel more inclined to agree with Kyle Cameron than I would anyone who suggested we are mid-table candidates.

I commend the club for raising the questions and hope that this continues throughout the season, particularly if a more severe injury occurs. While I wouldn't expect updates after every game, a monthly update would be reassuring if a longer recovery time is needed.
What I value most is the informative nature of the updates. In the past, we were left to speculate, and I believe it's essential for fans to have at least a rough idea. This is far more important than minor injuries sustained during pre-season. It could prevent a lot of speculation, for example, regarding Junior Morias' absence from the squad following his cameo appearance.

I like that Luke Williams managed to go on holiday by himself, but is now back and focused on this season. Although he has one promotion under his belt, he's not thinking of that success but rather building on it. He's a very impressive manager for his age and is showing wisdom far beyond his coaching years.

I am disappointed that the Salford fixture has changed. I can't make that game now, but I think a fair portion of this will be. I can't attend many weekday games, so those are the occasional treat. I'm all about the weekend. Very good read, @Simon Clark.

I remember watching highlights of that era’s squad and thinking Mick Vinter played with a traditional sense. He was also ahead of his time in terms of his reading of the game, being physical but not overpowering. When he got the ball, magic soon followed. I would have loved to see him play for Notts in his prime. If you had witnessed him, I can only imagine the goosebumps from watching his attacking mind.

Interesting comments by Dan Crowley. I think his decision to move shows he’s committed as a player. You don’t step down when expecting children if you’re not sure about the decision. The comments about being his own player are fair; Notts has a habit of pigeonholing people. All those managers said to be the next Jimmy Sirrel, for example.

Naturally, he’s one of the players you want to see remain at the club for the longest time possible. Considering where we are now compared to when he arrived, I think those 3 years have been kind to us. We could have lost him the last time his contract was up, but he committed. Now’s the time to cut him loose and hope he does the right thing.

Reading what Ruben has to say takes much of the “why Oxford United” from my mind. I don’t know what type of football they play in League One. Yet to get the best out of Ruben, they need to avoid hoofing it. He improved as our passing play did; the quicker we knocked it around on the ground, the more he stood out.

Mecca is a top, top bloke! He's very down to earth and you can see he's a grafter who enjoys the rewards of his hard work. He's had a sensational start to his Notts career, I hope this keeps in his mind when if comes other clubs promising him the earth.
It's what you're gifted, not what you take that makes you a success. I believe in Macca!

The amount of mistakes Notts owners have made, they could write a book on what not to do. I think the new owners are sensible, they’re looking at the bigger picture.
It would have been easy to sack Neal Ardley in the moment, when many seemed to want him gone.
But the focus was on next season, the one after that and further beyond.
Not based on resetting the club and struggling due to adjusting. Things have come together brilliantly, long may it continue.
Matt Palmer: Derby Day Will Be Tough, but Notts County Are Ready for the Challenge
in News
All Notts can do is stay focused, work hard, and keep their heads down. No matter the result, we are a stronger team now and have settled into the season.
Some fans might not be keen on Matt Palmer as captain because he's more reserved, but I believe he's just as good as anyone else. From what he says, I think this is exactly why he's our captain, bhe's a true professional who always gives his best.
