  1. This is a very good gesture by Stoke City. I’m sure Notts will consider making a donation, perhaps at the game or announcing it afterwards. Well done to Stoke.
  2. It's a great move bringing in experienced players; they’ll enrich our game plan.
  3. The news that Nemane has signed a new two-year contract with Notts County is music to my ears. Not only is he an incredible player whose skills on the field have greatly benefited the club, but he’s also a solid character who has a positive influence over the rest of the squad. On field, he is known for his impressive speed and precise control, making him a joy to watch.
  4. Mick Vinter's contributions to Notts County will always be remembered by fans. A true legend!
  5. Talent aside, I think the spirit and passion of David McGoldrick will be infectious within the team. His love for Notts County will drive our squad to greater heights.
  6. Clubs that frequently dismiss their managers should face fines and sanctions as a deterrent. This would encourage teams to commit to their managers and avoid wasting money. It is unfortunate for Darren Moore, who performed well but was ultimately released from his position.
  7. Cal Roberts was a good signing for Notts. He performed well and it’s unfortunate that his big move didn’t work out as he would have hoped. However, this is a good opportunity for him to showcase that he can play despite having setbacks.
  8. He’s a good addition to the Notts ranks and looks like a quality player. I think he will be a marquee signing by the end of the season.
  9. Jim O’Brien has been a superb player. I hope we don’t sign players that limit his chance of impacting the team. His experience has always been useful and I think he will do well given the chance this season.
  10. I’m excited to see what the future holds for this team. They’ve shown that they’re capable of achieving great things.
  11. I couldn’t agree more with @allardyces tash, Jim O’Brien is one of the best professionals the club has had in recent years. His camaraderie is noticeable with how he lifts people and the players. I am also glad he’s been promoted with us and will be hoping he can go again for another promotion this year in League Two.
  12. There are some excellent comments here, I think the Reedtz have made a great start and turned the club’s fortunes around. It doesn’t so much feel like a dream but a revelation that they have managed to do so quickly. It’s encouraging and exciting.
  13. I will be watching and would be disappointed if Jodi didn’t get to play. He could make a difference for them. I don’t expect Malta to give England much trouble, but you never know. If Harry Maguire plays, Jodi may want to be around him.
  14. McGoldrick’s memories of watching Notts County as a kid and visiting as a fan show his deep connection to the club. It’s always special when a player has that kind of bond with their team.
  15. It’s always great to see one of our own representing their country. Good luck to Jodi and Malta! He has been a loyal and dedicated servant of our club since he joined us permanently. He has also been a fan favourite with his passion and personality. He has earned the respect and admiration of everyone at Notts. I’m looking forward to watching him play against England. ????????
  16. Shrewsbury away will be a nice game to attend; it’s been a while since Notts has faced them. I think all of the pre-season fixtures look decent enough.
  17. I think affordable tickets for youngsters is something the club should look into, as well as family tickets if you buy in bulk and things like that. The club might see more fans take up this and bring in extra bodies. People spend money on match days, so the more bodies, the more wallets/purses.
  18. It’s interesting to read about the players. I’m afraid I don’t recall seeing any of their names, but the article is well written. It raises some valid points, such as the need to address potential defensive signings rather than meddling with tactics that worked well in the National League
  19. Fan of Big Tone’s comparison of Matt Palmer to Don Masson is high praise indeed!
  20. It’s fascinating to see the different paths teams took after their playoff victories. Some teams continued to excel while others faced challenges, but all of them showed great resilience and perseverance.
  21. I'm glad to hear that Sam Slocombe has agreed to a new 2-year deal. Hopefully, this, along with Rawlinson and Jones signing, will encourage the others
  22. I believe the most important thing is to ensure there’s always something happening. I keep up to date by reading articles and synchronising all the RSS feeds on a phone app, so I know when new content is posted. There may be times when I post less frequently, but I’ll always come back.
  23. Welcome to PON, @HarryNCFC0. I hope you’ll share your thoughts with us when you have the time.
  24. There’s room for a striker who can provide cover, perhaps someone like Ruben Rodrigues but preferably more capable of playing as a striker convincingly. Imagine if we were hit with an injury or two - would we really want to cope by playing people out of position up top? Notts definitely needs a quicker centre back, and if they can play on the left, all the better. The club also needs at least one more central midfielder - someone different from Matt Palmer, Jim O’Brien and John Bostock would be useful. A young midfielder with good vision who can contribute to both defence and attack would be ideal - someone who is quick and able to distribute passes effectively.
  25. Finishing anywhere from 1st to 7th is within reach for Notts. They have shown that they can compete with the best, delivering outstanding performances on the field. With their talent and determination, they have a real chance of securing a strong finish and securing a spot in the top seven.
