  1. Cal Roberts was a good signing for Notts. He performed well and it’s unfortunate that his big move didn’t work out as he would have hoped. However, this is a good opportunity for him to showcase that he can play despite having setbacks.
  2. He’s a good addition to the Notts ranks and looks like a quality player. I think he will be a marquee signing by the end of the season.
  3. Jim O’Brien has been a superb player. I hope we don’t sign players that limit his chance of impacting the team. His experience has always been useful and I think he will do well given the chance this season.
  4. I’m excited to see what the future holds for this team. They’ve shown that they’re capable of achieving great things.
  5. I couldn’t agree more with @allardyces tash, Jim O’Brien is one of the best professionals the club has had in recent years. His camaraderie is noticeable with how he lifts people and the players. I am also glad he’s been promoted with us and will be hoping he can go again for another promotion this year in League Two.
  6. There are some excellent comments here, I think the Reedtz have made a great start and turned the club’s fortunes around. It doesn’t so much feel like a dream but a revelation that they have managed to do so quickly. It’s encouraging and exciting.
  7. I believe that whoever comes in will understand the club’s history while appreciating what Jason Turner did. I hope they establish a good connection with the fans and are prepared to work hard to win them over.
  8. It’s uncertain how well he would fit in with Notts. Although it’s unlikely that he would regularly play for the first team, a loan could make it worthwhile. If he were loaned to a team that would give him playing time, it could help bring him up to speed.
  9. I will be watching and would be disappointed if Jodi didn’t get to play. He could make a difference for them. I don’t expect Malta to give England much trouble, but you never know. If Harry Maguire plays, Jodi may want to be around him.
  10. I might find myself in Morrisons at some stage of the week; they do have some good deals from time to time.
  11. Hello and welcome, @rhodship66.
  12. It’s fantastic news that a senior figure in the dressing room, Jim O’Brien, has agreed to stay for one more season. I want to see him retire with us.
  13. Ruben has signed for Oxford United. I have to say I didn’t see that one coming. If Derby County were actually interested, it would make the decision a little more strange. Was Oxford mentioned in the rumours? I don’t believe I saw them being named as one of the teams in for Ruben Rodrigues. However, I do remember Aaron Nemane being mentioned. https://www.oufc.co.uk/news/2023/june/ruben-rodrigues-joins-oxford-united/
  14. It’s a good job the backdrop has lights in it, otherwise his suit might have been exposed to light from the flash of the camera. He almost blends into it on my screen. I bet his award will be placed proudly on a shelf where he lives. First of many more, I hope. Well done, Macaulay Langstaff.
  15. Tranmere Rovers have lost quite a few of their best players. Salford and the likes have taken the opportunity to buy some of them. Kristian Dennis is an excellent bit of business for them, as he and Kane Hemmings have goals in them. Tom Davies, I feel, is one of the best defenders in our league.
  16. Good luck to Carl Dickinson. I think we have had better left-backs, but I wish him well.
  17. I remember reading about it. I think Alan Shearer also mentioned it on Match of the Day when David was playing for Sheffield United. At least one of the panel made a reference to him almost quitting. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65414171
  18. I haven’t even heard about this myself from anywhere, which I find surprising. It’s a great story of success and interesting to see money not holding them back. This wouldn’t happen in the UK; I highly doubt it would. Certainly not a Luton situation, although that is a good tale in its own right."
  19. I think Aaron Nemane may listen to offers, but I hope he decides to stay because he’s young enough to attract further interest if he has another good season. Kyle Cameron and Jim O’Brien are very much Notts. If either left, I would be disappointed and hurt by it unless Jim decided to retire. At this stage, I think Ruben Rodrigues is more than likely off.
  20. McGoldrick’s memories of watching Notts County as a kid and visiting as a fan show his deep connection to the club. It’s always special when a player has that kind of bond with their team.
  21. The club should distance themselves from fans who are this childish. If they would run on a pitch for a bet, where would you draw the line? I think along with the banning order, he should be made to pay a fine. It is not fair that Notts has to bear all the financial burden.
  22. I thought both Jordan Richards and Colby Bishop would make good League Two players. I am pleased for Colby to have found his way to Portsmouth. He has come into his element there.
  23. I’m not sure which games I’ll be able to attend yet, apart from the two home games. I might go to Boston because I haven’t been to their ground before. York is also a possibility because I like the area. Shrewsbury could be another option, but I need to check my schedule first.
  24. He didn’t take long to find a new club. I hope he has a successful spell in charge and stays with them for a few years. No club can achieve success without giving their manager time to build a strong team and implement their vision. The same goes for Ricardo - success comes from hard work and perseverance.
  25. It’s always great to see one of our own representing their country. Good luck to Jodi and Malta! He has been a loyal and dedicated servant of our club since he joined us permanently. He has also been a fan favourite with his passion and personality. He has earned the respect and admiration of everyone at Notts. I’m looking forward to watching him play against England. ????????
