  1. 1-0 down to Altrincham. Hard to believe but there it is. We'll have another manager by Monday if it stays like this!
  2. Altrincham have lost 4 games in a row. They were hammered 4-0 by Sutton at home 2 games ago. They lost 3-2 to Barnet at home in their last game. There isn't a better time to be playing them. Notts should be winning games like this. No excuses. 3-0 to Notts I reckon.
  3. No but I'd think about it for a few seconds! The players are making the same mistakes over and over again. IB has worked hard on cutting out those mistakes but it's up to the players and they are not doing what they should be doing.
  4. Torquay are on a roll. 5 wins in a row. 4 clean sheets. They are just point off the top of the table and have 3 games in hand on Hartlepool. They beat Sutton who are in 2nd 1-0 away recently. They came to ML in January and left with a point. Notts are not in good form . We are struggling all over the pitch. I think Torquay will be on a number of betting accumulators this weekend. Notts have the team to end Torquay's good run. The manager seems to have a gameplan in mind but the players aren't getting it as of yet as far as I can see. If IB plays the same formation again, I think Torquay will win. Hopefully Notts have been practicing their defending of set pieces! I hate to say it but 3-1 to Torquay for me.
  5. Notts are no longer in the playoffs. Shocking. Looks like another season in this league at the very least. I hope we don't do a Kidderminster....
  6. Very impressed with Hartlepool. Did the simple things well. Took their chances. A very well managed side. Everything Notts weren't today.
  7. Notts need to reel off a string of wins to push for a top 3 finish. Woking don't score many goals but they are hard to break down. Torquay and Hartlepool both beat them 1-0 recently and Woking made them work hard for the win. I expect a tough game. Notts need to show the same fighting spirit as they showed against Wrexham and if they do, they'll win. 2-0 to Notts. Knight with both.
  8. Roberts is so important. He showed his quality when he came on. Notts are a different team when he plays. Knight will contribute as well. We need to build on this now. We need a run of wins.
  9. Wrexham started well but have slowed down. Notts haven't been brilliant, but they have shown plenty of fight. Cal Roberts is back and Knight has made his debut. 2 positives. Notts just scored. Ellis. This would be a fantastic victory.
  10. I fear the worst and I take no pleasure in saying that. The alarm bells are not just ringing, they are flashing red. 3-0 to Wrexham is my prediction. They are flying at the moment. Their confidence is sky high. Their manager is better than ours at this level at this moment in time.
  11. Right we need a good excuse. We are concentrating on the league? We didn't want to go to Wembley for fear of spreading COVID accidentally? We had loads of injuries? I'm really struggling......
  12. We have just witnessed the worst result in the club's history. The absolute worst. I need a drink and I don't drink!
  13. That's the frustrating thing. When this team plays, it's almost unbeatable. Another 10 minutes and Notts would have won IMO. Unleash them from the start and we'll be sitting pretty before too long!
  14. On the face of it, a draw is a good result in the circumstances but it's papering over the cracks. Performances have to improve. The playoff race is tightening.
  15. 2-0 now. Nowhere near good enough given the squad at the manager's disposal. Nevermind 1st place, if this continues, there won't even be a playoff place.
  16. The performance against Wealdstone was slightly better than what went before so that's positive. BW beat us 1-0 at home in December. They are a decent side and sit 10th in the table. They have drawn 11 games and 4 of their last 5 results have been draws. Their other result was a 1-0 loss at Wealdstone. They haven't scored or conceded in their last 2 games. I think it will be a close game but I think Notts will sneak a 1-0 win.
  17. I think it is but not under NA. He's too nice. You need a Martin Allen type, not Martin Allen himself to get the best out of these players.
  18. It's deja vu up to now. NA needs a plan B, C and D.
  19. Halifax are on a 3 game unbeaten run. They beat Torquay away and drew with Hartlepool at home. That shows how dangerous they are. They are strong in midfield and that is a worry given what King's Lynn midfield did to Notts in the first half. Hopefully lessons were learned from that. They are 4 points behind Notts and Notts have 2 games in hand. While it's quite a must win game for them, they won't want that gap to widen. I don't see Notts winning this game but I do think this will be the end of a bad spell and we will start winning once the new signings bed in. Brighter days ahead surely......
  20. I still can't get my head around last night. Once I can let that go, I'll comment on Aldershot at home................
  21. A point away from home is a good result but it was more by luck than by design. Pilling was MOM. Give him 2 actually. He was that good. Notts didn't try to win the game but that's NA way. Looking at the online comments, the majority of fans are happy with NA it seems. I'll say it now, I don't see Notts getting promoted with NA in charge. His limited style will be found out at the business end, just like against Harrogate last season. Prove me wrong Neil!
  22. You'd expect a response. The players owe NA a decent performance after Saturday's effort. Stockport away is a tough fixture at the best of times. In some ways it's better to be playing a decent side because there will be no room for complacency. I expect a focused Notts tonight. My gut feeling is that it will be a draw. 1-1 for me.
  23. Wrexham away is in the top 5 most difficult fixtures in this league. It will be a real test for Notts. Wrexham are on a 5 game unbeaten run. Normally you'd be happy with a point at Wrexham and I'd take that to keep the momentum going. The title is still up for grabs so avoiding defeat would be huge. Having said that, I think Notts will win 2-1 and what a statement that will be.
  24. My sources tell me the pitch is covered so the game should go ahead. Here's hoping! We drew at their place. A 0-0 draw. Dagenham are 17th but only 7 points behind Notts who are in 6th. Notts have played 2 less games but it shows how tight the table is at the moment. Dagenham have pulled off some decent results. They beat Torquay away with 10 players. They went to Wrexham at the weekend and came away with a 2-2 draw. They can't be underestimated but Notts are the better side. 2-0 to Notts I reckon.
  25. Bromley are undefeated in their last 2 games. They are a decent side, they will probably finish in the top 10 and could finish in the playoff places. Their danger man is Michael Cheek. 11 goals in 17 games. Bromley are a dangerous opponent. They are capable of scoring goals out of nothing. It will be a real test of our defence, who are playing well as a unit. I think Notts will win. 2-1 is my prediction.
