Match Discussion: Game 12 - The Hatters (H)
If the NL had played out as most people expected it to, this would have been a top of the table clash. It isn't in reality. It's a clash between teams in 9th and 10th, Notts are 1point ahead but Stockport have a game in hand. It's a huge game for both clubs, but more so for Notts as we are at home. Stockport are 3 games unbeaten in the league. That includes a win over Wrexham. They are finally finding form after a slow enough start. They don't score too many goals, 9 in 10 games. Notts have scored 20 goals in 11 games. Stockport have only conceded 11 which is impressive. Notts have conceded 15. Games against Stockport are always close affairs. I don't see that changing this weekend. I think it will end 0-0.

Match Discussion: FA Cup Qualifying - The Lambs (H)
Job done. Vincent was excellent, looking forward to seeing if he can do it in the league. Mitchell got a couple of goals but the jury is still out.

Match Discussion: FA Cup Qualifying - The Lambs (H)
I think IB learned a lot from Saturday's game. He knows he cannot depend on Sam & Mitchell to score the goals we need to sustain a promotion push. I shudder to think what would happen if Wootton picked up an injury. You'd expect Notts to finish the job off at home. They created more than enough chances to win the game last Saturday. 2-0 to Notts I reckon.

Match Discussion: FA Cup Qualifying - The Lambs (A)
I think Wootton will be rested. It would be foolish to rest most of the first team IMO. I think Notts will win but wouldn't be surprised if it ended in a draw.

Match Discussion: Game 11 - The Glovers (A)
Very important 3 points. Stops the rot. Cameron is vital to our chances of going up. There are no other leaders if he isn't fit.

Match Discussion: Game 11 - The Glovers (A)
Yeovil away. At least we are getting it over with early in the season and it's not a mid week fixture. Yeovil are 14th but they have only played 7 games, Notts have played 10. They haven't won in their last 3 games. 1 draw and 2 defeats. They have only scored 1 goal in those 3 games so must be delighted that they are coming up against the Notts defence this weekend! They don't concede too many goals. 7 in 7 games is impressive. Yeovil are a dangerous side because they are unpredictable. They went to Stockport and won 3-0 but then last Saturday they could only manage a 0-0 draw at home against 10 man Maidenhead. This is a matchup of 2 sides who badly need a win to stop the rot. I think it will be a close game. 1-1 draw for me. Notts to take the lead and Yeovil to level it in the last 20 minutes.

Match Discussion: Game 10 - The Shaymen (A)
We are missing the players who provide leadership on the pitch. When the chips were down and a bit of pressure was put on, this team folded. 2 games in a row shows it's not a blip. They lack character. They lack backbone. Show us that is not the case starting next Saturday. How they respond will speak volumes as to where this club is going. We now know the answer to can these players do it on a wet Tuesday in Halifax. It's an empathetic No. In capital letters. NO.

Match Discussion: Game 10 - The Shaymen (A)
Halifax are unbeaten in their last 5 games. They haven't conceded a goal in their last 3 games. They have scored just 1 goal in their last 2 games though. They drew 0-0 at Barnet on Saturday. They were the better side but didn't take their chances. I know another side like that........... ???? This is going to be a very difficult game for Notts. Halifax are a decent side and difficult to beat. On form, Halifax will be favourites. It will be an exciting game I reckon. Both sides will create chances, it will come down to who takes them. My prediction is a 1-0 win for Halifax. IB hasn't had enough time to correct the issues from last Saturday. If we get anything out of this game, it will be one of the results of the season so far.

Match Discussion: Game 9 - The Cardinals (H)
The injuries we have had have disrupted us. No denying that. My worry is the lack of physicality in midfield. It's not really something we can address unless we dip into the loan market for a tough tackling midfielder who can win the ball back and be a presence on the pitch. I don't see it improving any time soon and it pains me to say that. Halifax will beat us on Tuesday. Sigh.

Match Discussion: Game 9 - The Cardinals (H)
Woking score 3 goals in 8 minutes and lead 3-1. You can't win the league in October but you can certainly make it almost impossible to win it. Notts are creaking and creaking badly at the moment.
-
Match Discussion: Game 9 - The Cardinals (H)
Woking are a decent side. They ended Chesterfield's unbeaten run during the week. They have scored 13 goals in 6 games so they know the goal is. They do concede goals. 9 in 6 games. Tahvon Campbell is their danger man. 6 goals in 6 games. Woking went to Torquay and won 4-0. They only lost 1-0 to Wrexham away. To me it looks like they raise their game for the high profile games and make it very difficult for the so called favourites for promotion. I expect a very difficult afternoon for Notts. I think Woking will create chances against what isn't our first choice defence. Our attack needs to up their game considerably if we are to have a chance of winning this game. We are unbeaten at home so you would expect a better performance than last week. I hate to say it but I think Woking will win this game. 2-1 to Woking is my prediction.

Match Discussion: Game 8 - The Robins (A)
Very poor performance yesterday. That defeat was coming for a while. Not losing papers over the cracks so at least now IB knows what to address and sort out.
-
Match Discussion: Game 8 - The Robins (A)
Altrincham have played only 4 games. They didn't have a game last weekend. They have won 2 and lost 2. Their best result was a 3-1 win at Torquay. Their last game was a 1-0 loss at Wealdstone. They are a decent side and no push over. I don't think they will finish in the top half but I don't think they'll be relegated. The worry I'd have is the loss of Cameron & Rawlinson. I think we'll concede at least 1 goal. I'll go for a 2-1 to Notts but a draw is the most likely result.
-
Match Discussion: Game 7 - The Magpies (H)
A game Notts should be winning, especially at home. Might be another thriller but that wouldn't be good for the blood pressure! 2-1 Notts.
-
Match Discussion: Game 6 - The Stones (H)
Happy with the 3 points but that defence has serious issues. We won't outscored every team in this division, the defending has to improve.
-
Match Discussion: Game 6 - The Stones (H)
And Kyle makes it 2-1. We're lucky to have him as well!
-
Match Discussion: Game 6 - The Stones (H)
1-1. Roberts again. We're lucky to have him.
-
Match Discussion: Game 6 - The Stones (H)
Wealdstone take the lead. Notts never do it the easy way do they?
-
Match Discussion: Game 6 - The Stones (H)
Wealdstone adopted a care free attitude after it was clear that there would be no relegation last season. They scored 49 goals and conceded a whopping 99 goals. Nots beat them 3-0 at the Lane and 1-0 at their place. Wealdstone are far more resilient this season. They held Dagenham to a 2-2 draw away from home. They drew with Southend as well. They are on a 3 match unbeaten run. IB will have his homework done and Notts will not take this game lightly. You'd expect Notts to win and I think they will but it will be tough. Chesterfield beat them 2-0 but it took 85 minutes to finally kill the game off. It could be similiar tonight. 2-0 to Notts is my prediction.
-
Match Discussion: Game 5 - The Terras (A)
Notts finally take the lead. All that was missing was a goal and Cal delivered. Sounds like it was a fantastic free kick. Need to win this. These are the games that decide whether you finish first or in the playoffs.
-
Match Discussion: Game 5 - The Terras (A)
Weymouth have scored 7 goals in 2 games. They have won 2 in a row. They beat a decent Solihull Moors 4-3 away in their last game. Their confidence will be high. They are an attack minded side. I think it will be a goal fest. 5-3 to Notts.
-
Match Discussion: Game 4 - The Shots (H)
Well that was eventful. 3 points in the bag which is the most important thing. Responded well after going behind. That's the sign of a good side. Plenty of work to do but it's been a decent start. I'm happy.
-
Match Discussion: Game 4 - The Shots (H)
Aldershot are poor. They will be fighting relegation. If Notts play to their potential, it will be a routine win. 3-0 to Notts.
-
Match Discussion: Game 3 - Red Dragons (A)
That's Phil Parkinson for you. Wrexham fans will have sore necks watching his style of football. Phil better hope it works, I doubt he'll get much time if things start to go wrong.
-
Match Discussion: Game 3 - Red Dragons (A)
A draw was a fair result. You could see that Notts are closer to being the finished article. Wrexham showed flashes of how good they will be as the season progresses. I'd expect them to sign at least 2 more quality signings. They've invested well so far.
