  1. Woking are a decent side. They ended Chesterfield's unbeaten run during the week. They have scored 13 goals in 6 games so they know the goal is. They do concede goals. 9 in 6 games. Tahvon Campbell is their danger man. 6 goals in 6 games. Woking went to Torquay and won 4-0. They only lost 1-0 to Wrexham away. To me it looks like they raise their game for the high profile games and make it very difficult for the so called favourites for promotion. I expect a very difficult afternoon for Notts. I think Woking will create chances against what isn't our first choice defence. Our attack needs to up their game considerably if we are to have a chance of winning this game. We are unbeaten at home so you would expect a better performance than last week. I hate to say it but I think Woking will win this game. 2-1 to Woking is my prediction.
  2. Very poor performance yesterday. That defeat was coming for a while. Not losing papers over the cracks so at least now IB knows what to address and sort out.
  3. Altrincham have played only 4 games. They didn't have a game last weekend. They have won 2 and lost 2. Their best result was a 3-1 win at Torquay. Their last game was a 1-0 loss at Wealdstone. They are a decent side and no push over. I don't think they will finish in the top half but I don't think they'll be relegated. The worry I'd have is the loss of Cameron & Rawlinson. I think we'll concede at least 1 goal. I'll go for a 2-1 to Notts but a draw is the most likely result.
  4. A game Notts should be winning, especially at home. Might be another thriller but that wouldn't be good for the blood pressure! 2-1 Notts.
  5. Happy with the 3 points but that defence has serious issues. We won't outscored every team in this division, the defending has to improve.
  6. And Kyle makes it 2-1. We're lucky to have him as well!
  7. 1-1. Roberts again. We're lucky to have him.
  8. Wealdstone take the lead. Notts never do it the easy way do they?
  9. Wealdstone adopted a care free attitude after it was clear that there would be no relegation last season. They scored 49 goals and conceded a whopping 99 goals. Nots beat them 3-0 at the Lane and 1-0 at their place. Wealdstone are far more resilient this season. They held Dagenham to a 2-2 draw away from home. They drew with Southend as well. They are on a 3 match unbeaten run. IB will have his homework done and Notts will not take this game lightly. You'd expect Notts to win and I think they will but it will be tough. Chesterfield beat them 2-0 but it took 85 minutes to finally kill the game off. It could be similiar tonight. 2-0 to Notts is my prediction.
  10. Notts finally take the lead. All that was missing was a goal and Cal delivered. Sounds like it was a fantastic free kick. Need to win this. These are the games that decide whether you finish first or in the playoffs.
  11. Weymouth have scored 7 goals in 2 games. They have won 2 in a row. They beat a decent Solihull Moors 4-3 away in their last game. Their confidence will be high. They are an attack minded side. I think it will be a goal fest. 5-3 to Notts.
  12. Well that was eventful. 3 points in the bag which is the most important thing. Responded well after going behind. That's the sign of a good side. Plenty of work to do but it's been a decent start. I'm happy.
  13. Aldershot are poor. They will be fighting relegation. If Notts play to their potential, it will be a routine win. 3-0 to Notts.
  14. That's Phil Parkinson for you. Wrexham fans will have sore necks watching his style of football. Phil better hope it works, I doubt he'll get much time if things start to go wrong.
  15. A draw was a fair result. You could see that Notts are closer to being the finished article. Wrexham showed flashes of how good they will be as the season progresses. I'd expect them to sign at least 2 more quality signings. They've invested well so far.
  16. Wrexham picked up their first win on Saturday. They have 4 points from 2 difficult away games. This is their first home game. I think playing away actually suits Notts better. Wrexham will be playing in front of an expectant home crowd. That brings its own pressure. I think it will end 3-3.
  17. We conceded a goal against 10 men. No surprise that it was a header. Wootton does what Wootton does and despite it resembling the Alamo, Torquay held on. 2 points dropped? Yes. On to Monday.
  18. Torquay are not as good as they were last season. They'll be doing well if they make the playoffs. It will be interesting to see how Notts deal with a big crowd. It should be a fantastic atmosphere. I'll go for a nervy 1-0 win.
  19. Call me crazy, but I think we'll win 5-0. All the goals in the 2nd half.
  20. We conceded 6 goals in 2 games. No way you win promotion conceding that amount of goals. Torquay are a decent side. They deserved their win, even if that penalty was dodgy to say the least. Notts kept going to the bitter end. Can't fault their effort.
  21. I'm expecting an absolute rollercoaster ride! I think it will rain goals. 4-3 AET to Notts is my prediction. Given Torquay's petulant behaviour, I expect them to have a temper tantrum on the pitch and their Mums will have to be called. Bold boys.
  22. Bromley are the dark horses for sure. They managed the game brilliantly yesterday. Their consistency is impressive. They don't panic.
  23. Notts could have been out of sight by half time. Didn't really show up in the 2nd half. Didn't deserve anything out of the game.
  24. Notts need to keep the momentum going. A loss wouldn't be the end of the world but it would kill the feel good factor we are experiencing at the moment. The fans deserve a home game in the playoffs. IB knows this and he'll deliver IMO.
  25. Playoff spot secured. 4th place is still up for grabs. Bromley away next weekend will have the feel of a playoff game which is good practice for Notts. Gets us ready for the real playoffs.
