Match Discussion: Game 6 - The Moors (H)
Chances are if anyone finishes above Solihull, they will be champions. Solihull have found their form in the last game and a half. Notts at home is one of the toughest fixtures in this league so it has all the makings of a classic. It won't end 0-0. More likely to end 5-5!

Match Discussion: Game 5 - The Shaymen (A)
Great win. On to Monday and a tasty fixture against promotion rivals.

Match Discussion: Game 5 - The Shaymen (A)
Halifax are struggling. This is the best time to play them. You'd be expecting 3 points from this but it's Notts.......so who knows!
-
Match Discussion: Game 4 - The Spireites (H)
Talk about a game of 2 halves. Notts were poor in the first half. A couple of changes and a more direct approach and Notts picked up a point. Hopefully LW will stick with 2 up front and a more direct approach. It works.
-
Match Discussion: Game 4 - The Spireites (H)
The jury is still out on the 3-5-2 formation but LW will persist with it. I'd prefer 4-4-2 given that we have 2 quality strikers and a third that gives us something different when required. Chesterfield have improved game by game. They were well deserved winners over Wrexham and looked like genuine title contenders. They are one of the few teams who will come to ML and take the game to Notts. All the momentum is with Chesterfield.

Match Discussion: Game 3 - The Tynesiders (A)
The league is there for the taking this year. If Notts get their act together, automatic promotion is a strong possibility. Saturday's game against Chesterfield is a chance to make a real statement of intent.

Match Discussion: Game 3 - The Tynesiders (A)
Not a great performance by all accounts. Lucky to escape with a draw. Their goal was an early Christmas present. Those mistakes have to be cut out.
-
Match Discussion: Game 2 - The Wood (A)
A point at Borehamwood is a good result but it was disappointing to lose the lead twice. Mitchell on the scoresheet is nice to see.
-
Match Discussion: Game 2 - The Wood (A)
The first real test of the season. Borehamwood should be one of the sides pushing for a playoff place. I don't think they have the quality to win the league but they are a worthy foe. They will be missing DKE and Ndlovu who were sent off against Southend. Borehamwood held out for a well earned 3 points. Notts got the job done last week. It will take a few weeks for this team to really gel but the early signs are very positive. Dangerous going forward. Strong at the back. I'd take a draw in this one but I think Notts will nick the points. 1-0 to Notts I reckon.

Match Discussion: Game 1 - The Magpies (H)
That's about as good as it gets. Langstaff off to a flyer. Clean sheet. Maidenhead are poor and will do well to avoid relegation.
-
Match Discussion: Game 1 - The Magpies (H)
Maidenhead at home is the ideal opportunity to start the season with 3 points and I think we will. A long season starts here and hopefully we have many many highs and very few lows.
-
Match Discussion: Game 43 - The Robins (H)
One point seals a place in the playoffs for Notts. We are hanging on to the home playoff spot at the moment. Ideally we need to win this game by a couple of goals. Our home form is the 3rd best in the division. We haven't been at our best in the last 2 games. A defeat at Aldershot and a 1-0 win over a poor Dover side doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Altrincham aren't great away from home but they are dangerous opponents. It will be interesting to see how they approach the game. If they try to play, Notts will win I think. If they sit back, it will be a whole different ball game. I think it will be another 1-0 win and immediately checking how Grimsby have gotten on at home to Maidenhead. It may well come down to goal difference to see who gets the home tie.
-
Match Discussion: Game 41 - The Shots (A)
We beat Aldershot 3-2 at home back in September. Aldershot are 8 points clear of the drop zone. They are not safe yet so they have something to play for. This could be a tricky tie for Notts but you'd expect Notts to win if they approach the game in the right manner. I'll go for a nervy 1-0 win for Notts.
-
Match Discussion: Game 40 - The Terras (H)
Project 21 points is still on track. 6 down, 15 to go!
-
Match Discussion: Game 40 - The Terras (H)
Weymouth are going down, it's just a matter of when. They haven't scored in 5 games but 2 of those were 0-0 draws against Grimsby and Yeovil at home. Weymouth have picked up 8 from 57 away from home. Notts have picked up 41 from 57 at home. Notts will be odds on favourites. 3-0 I reckon.
-
Match Discussion: Game 39 - The Linnets (H)
You have to have goals ???? I expect my blood pressure will be quite high during this period but I'm confident!
-
Match Discussion: Game 39 - The Linnets (H)
The last 7 games should all be wins. 1 down, 6 to go!
-
Match Discussion: Game 38 - The Gulls (A)
Take the beating and move on. We should make the playoffs but we need to be fully focused.
-
Match Discussion: Game 38 - The Gulls (A)
Torquay are on a decent run of form. They have only lost one of their last 7 games. They won their last 2 games 4-0 against Aldershot and 3-0 against Weymouth. To be brutally honest, both these sides are poor so it's not a surprise. I think it will be a tough game for Notts. I'd take a draw given the run of fixtures we have to end the season. A win would be amazing.
-
Match Discussion: Game 37 - The Shrimpers (A)
That was an outstanding result. Truly outstanding. Well done Ruben. Well done everyone. I'm very happy.
-
Match Discussion: Game 37 - The Shrimpers (A)
Southend have lost their last 2 games. They are struggling to score. 1 goal in their last 4 games. Notts are unbeaten in their last 3 and they were 3 tough games. 7 out of 9 is more than acceptable. Given our run in, I'd take a draw here, keep the run going. A win would be a massive boost. I'll go for a 1-0 win for Notts.
-
Match Discussion: Game 36 - The Spireites (H)
Am I happy with a point? No, but I'm satisfied. I'd take 5 points from this and our next 2. Then we have 7 games against lower half sides to finish the season. We should make the playoffs, I think it will be a 3rd place finish.
-
Match Discussion: Game 36 - The Spireites (H)
What a hugely important game. A win would give Notts a massive chance of finishing second given the fixtures we have left. The momentum is with Notts but Chesterfield are a dangerous opponent. Kabongo Tshimanga is a huge loss for them but they have had other key injuries as well. I'm surprised they didn't strengthen their squad before the window closed. A couple of more injuries and they will be in trouble. Enough about Chesterfield. Notts have a great home record, the atmosphere will be electric, the sun will be shining (I'm guessing this). A home win for me.
-
Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Wood (H)
Not only a great result but a great performance as well. It puts Notts within touching distance of Chesterfield and guess who we play next......
-
Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Wood (H)
I think the teams in 5th to 10th are battling it out for 2 playoff places. Borehamwood are 1 point ahead of Notts and have 2 games in hand. Borehamwood are out of form going into this game. They haven't won in their last 4. It's probably the best time to play them. I think Notts will win this and that will go a long way towards securing a playoff spot.
