  1. I can't see Notts winning this on current form. A point would be a fabulous result. It's a horrible fixture to be facing when you are trying to break a losing streak.
  2. I was keeping an eye on SSN yesterday. Delighted when Notts went 1 up. Turned my back and missed the Crewe goal. Actually thought Sky had made a mistake!
  3. Crewe have surprised me. Decent side or a reflection of how ordinary L2 is? Answers on a postcard.
  4. I don't think so. I don't know what the format is. I'd imagine it's 2 to go through?
  5. Agreed. Avoid injuries. That is all.
  6. Great result. Yes Exeter are poor, but Notts did what they had to do. This is not a great league, you don't have to be excellent to get promotion, consistently good will suffice, Notts are ticking that box right now.
  7. I hear ya, but to be fair, it isn't a great league this year. Notts are as good as anyone...on paper at least.......I think JS will turn potential into points. Notts won't be far away at the end of the season IMO.
  8. Exeter on a Tuesday night. Not ideal by any means. Exeter are 20th. They have yet to draw a game this season. 3 wins and 6 defeats. Exeter have lost all 4 of their league games at home. They won 2-0 at Stevenage on Saturday. Great result for them. Our last 2 trips to Exeter resulted in 1-1 draws. We haven't won there since 1998. It's a good time to be playing Exeter IMO. They haven't found their feet yet. Notts have started to show what they can do. I don't think we'll be leaving Exeter empty handed. I'll go for a 1-1 draw.
  9. Great win over a decent side. Things are definitely looking up.
  10. Looking at the table, there isn't much between the side. Same number of points, exact same number of wins, losses and draws. We have scored 1 more goal them but we have conceded 4 more goals than them. Like us, Orient seem to prefer playing away from home, 8 points from their 11 points were gained on their travels. Orient won't have any fear coming to the Lane based on their away form. They beat us 1-0 at the Lane last season, I don't see a repeat of that scoreline. I'll go for a 1-1 draw.
  11. Good win. Showed reliance. Good response to last week.
  12. Not sure what to make of this one. Cheltenham are draw specialists. 4 out of 7. Only won 1 game. Lost 2. Scored 7. Conceded 7. Has all the signs of being a 1-1 draw you would think? I reckon Notts will win if they score more than 1 goal in this and I think they will. 1-2 I reckon.
  13. Awful result. No other way to describe it.
  14. I think teams raise their game when they come to Meadow Lane. ML is easily one of the best grounds in L2. Opposition teams actually like coming here.
  15. Matt Crooks went to Rangers as well. Think that's his name.
  16. After the highs of last year, Stanley are back in familiar territory this season i.e. the bottom half of the table. There's a good chance they will be in a relegation battle. Wouldn't surprise me if they got relegated. Our last 3 games at home against them have been draws. I think we'll cruise to a 3-1 win this time around.
  17. What worries me is that physical sides are taking points off Notts. Yeovil's only win was against Notts. Stevenage and Grimsby took points away from Meadow Lane. Notts have to improve on the physical side of things if a promotion challenge is to be mounted. I'm still confident that it will be sorted.
  18. They won 5-2 at home last weekend. Notts are a better side on paper home win for me.
  19. You could listen to Jimmy all day. They don't make them like that anymore.
  20. The majority of B sides lost last night. That's something at least. The standout B side was Norwich. Looks like they are taking the competition seriously, they beat Peterborough 6-1 away from home.
  21. Momentum is beginning to build. Great win today.
  22. Our games at Crawley tend to be low scoring affairs. I don't recall us scoring more than 1 goal at Crawley, but I could be wrong. We won there last season, there's no reason why we can't do so again. I think we are a better team than them, but a point would be acceptable, we need to go on a run of unbeaten games. I'll go for 1-1. Stead to continue his hot streak.
  23. Laing will make a huge difference. Way too good for level.
  24. It got a bit easier as Chelsea were beaten on penalties by London Bees yesterday.
  25. Himself and Chester are dancing around each other since last month. Moore wants the job but hasn't applied for it, Chester want him but want him to apply it seems.
